Hi People. I was lucky enough to be out in St. Philip's with a buddy today. I was caught off-guard by finding a place I really had to take a picture of. So here are a few snaps. I'll make a few more reels later. Cool but sunny. I can hear people recreating all around me. A woman rugby coach speaks out her instructions. Lots of healthy raised voices coming and going. Nice. And a well-blown whistle. Miss you friends.

Up until the 1990s or so Newfoundlanders often used a three-color color scheme on their houses. The walls and two trim colors. I noticed this house at the beginning of Empire Avenue. The trick of course, is older windows. When vinyl heritage windows were invented they were also required. At the time if you painted the vinyl you voided your warranty so the entire city transitioned to identical wide white window trim. Maybe that's why people chose to use brighter wall colors, a way to make up for the change in independent color choice on the windows. Windows went from any two colors to no choice at all!
