From the heronry No. 7
These photos didn’t turn out quite as well as I had hoped, but the story was too good not to share.
The chicks may look almost fully grown, but the moment an adult lands, the size difference is impossible to miss. What follows is pure chaos—a feeding frenzy of stretching necks, flapping wings, and hungry beaks, with every chick determined to be first in line!

Ces photos ne sont pas tout à fait à la hauteur de ce que j’espérais, mais la scène méritait d’être partagée.
Les jeunes hérons semblent presque adultes, mais dès qu’un parent se pose au nid, la différence de taille saute aux yeux. Ce qui suit est un véritable festival d’agitation : cous qui s’étirent, ailes qui battent et becs grands ouverts. Chacun veut être le premier à recevoir son repas!
