I lost count of how many times we said the word "frolic", but let me tell you, running around a field, kicking our shoes off in the sand with some wind blown hair on an empty beach while I chase two lovebirds around is pretty much my church. Can't wait for their big day in September!

So my incredibly talented friend Jess at Hillcroft Photography did some branding shots of me the other day and nailed it! which ones should I use for my website? It's getting completely rehauled over the next few weeks! I definitely got a taste of my own medicine being on this end of the camera and I was so scared I thought I'd p*e my pants!

Always encouraging full play mode over here 👈 if you’re questioning feeling rigid or awkward, I literally promise you, you will not stop moving and laughing, even if some of my poses or prompts sound insane when they come out of my mouth.

The quiet moments with brides will always be one of my favourite parts of the day.

It’s when everything she’s planned and thought about for months is finally there in front of her—the dress, the veil, the little details that mean something.

I love being able to document that in a way she can come back to and actually feel again.

The smiles and little tiny moments you can’t plan, but get to capture are another reason why I love doing this. You just can’t plan these big smiles, like admiring yourself in your wedding dress for the first time or looking over at your forever after saying I do in the middle of a confetti storm.

As a new wedding season approaches, I’m spending my days leading up to it by gathering inspiration and reconnecting with the art of it. Refining my eye, drawing from past stories and anticipating the new! Remembering that it’s never just about photos… it’s about preserving a feeling people will want to come back to for the rest of their lives ☀️

Here’s to creating more of that.

It’s no secret i love a good field frolic session. We could scour for the perfect location for days that checks every box or we could keep things simple and run around a field at golden hour capturing movement, connection and laughter with ease! I also love when my couples introduce me to new spots that have meaning to them, but I’m also happy to suggest some of my favourites!
