New era, new intro post ✨ I’m Ju - horse girl turned photographer turned “maybe I should make this my entire life?” … and somehow that actually worked out. 🤠
If there are two things that have followed me through every chapter of my life, it’s horses and photography. I grew up showing Arabians, eventually fell headfirst into reining, and spent my teens and early 20s showing competitively on the local NRHA circuit.
Then life took me down a different road. I earned my BSc. (Hon) in Bioveterinary Science, stepped into the agricultural world, and did the responsible adult thing. My first few years post-university were hard - I struggled to feel like I belonged in my career, lost some really special horses, and in an attempt to find some sort of inner peace in the middle of what felt like my entire life falling apart, I stepped away from the horse world for a while.
And then at the beginning of this year I realized that living my life riding the brakes wasn’t doing me any favours, and basically said, “screw it.” I made the choice to leave my job and jump into creative work full-time, and bought a yearling (because apparently I enjoy making calm, low-risk life decisions. 😂)
So now I’m here: navigating self-employment, rediscovering who I am outside of the boxes I thought I had to fit into, and slowly falling in love with horses again. This page is a little bit of all of it. Photography, horses, mildly unhinged behind-the-scenes chaos, and figuring life out as I go.
Glad you’re here. 🫶🏻
