And here's why I have setup the white backdrop in the basement studio: to document my buddy Tom Gibson's Gretsch Collection!

Well, the orange part of his Gretsch collection, anyway... 😂

1961 Gibson LP Jr. with an amp that might have graced the stage with Marvin Berry at the Enchantment Under The Sea Dance, but is actually a limited edition 2008 175th Anniversary Gretsch Variety amp. I belive 25 were made for Gretsch by Victoria amps.

1998 Fender Custom Shop Custom Telecaster NOS.

Back in 1988 I bought a brand new MIJ '62 Reissue Custom Tele, just like this one (minus the Custom Shop logo ofc!) From Steve's Music Store Montréal. I (foolishly) sold it to my buddy Paul DesLauriers when moved I away in 1994...and almost instantly regretted it!

Luckily I was able to find this reasonable facsimile from Damien Hamilton Galt 17 years later! 😉

Back in the saddle!

1956 Gretsch 6120, graciously on loan from Tom Gibson.

After a week of hospital visits and sundry health issues, mom is doing better again. And I have *finally* got my downstairs studio in order for upcoming photo projects! Let the "content" flow! 😂

Almost 30 and still an ugly duckling?

1998 Gibson Nighthawk ST2

Don't worry buddy...there's hope. You CAN become a beautiful swan after 30. I have seen real-life examples! Take the Jazzmaster, for example. No one thought JMs were pretty until at least the late 80s/early 90s...when they were hitting their early 30s!

It can happen for you too! 😉

I'm so glad... to have this 1957 Fender Duo Sonic!

Google tells me that Jimi Hendrix played a 1959 Duo Sonic with the Isleys on the song you are listening to (everywhere, that is, unless you are seeing this on Threads...).

CAN YOU IMAGINE JIMI'S ENORMOUS HANDS WRAPPED AROUND THIS TINY GUITAR?? It would be like King Kong's hand around Faye Wray! 😂
