In changing and challenging times, people I deeply admire have taught me to look for and celebrate the light in the world.
On this note, thank you Women's Executive Network for spotlighting remarkable women leading transformational change and for including me as one of the 2023 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winners in the entrepreneurship category.
When I first started in my career, I attended the Top 100 Awards Gala and was in awe of the accomplishments of the women on stage. Fast forward to present, I am both humbled and honoured to join this year's inspirational recipients to carry the light forward and ultimately pass the torch to the next generation of women leaders.
As part of a family-owned and operated business, this success would not be possible without the incredible tutoring team behind Teachers on Call, and especially Michael Handelsman, Rhona Sallay and George Sallay. A special shout-out as well to my volunteer family at The Corsage Project and Children's Aid Foundation of Canada.
