Dear Bickford Park,

Tomorrow I am taking part in day so I will leave an original canvas on one of your benches for someone to take home and own forever. Maybe this whole art thing will work out and they’ll sell it for 5 million space dollars in 40 years? But if not, I hope someone will give the painting a nice home where it will keep them thinking about the springtime.

Also, to the grass at Bickford Park: lookin forward to you growing again! Cause this was rough! Yikes! C’mon grass!!!!

So excited to be a part of on March 12th this week! So many cool artists are a part of this so definitely be on the lookout for them! Also sending a warm shout-out to for putting it all together!
🎨
Wanted to share what I’ll be using for this painting!
Thanks for the paint!
And since I find round pencils (looking at you, hexagonal pencils haha) and takeout chopsticks to be my favourite for pointillism – a huge shout out to my favourite Thai restaurant in Toronto for always having the best pointillism painting supplies: Cheers There’s nothing better than painting and their Malay Curry!!

I also find their takeout containers make great paint palettes!! 😊 ♻️Recycle, reduce, reuse!!!
And Thai One On’s Malay curry!!

We are ONE week away from !!! Get excited! We definitely are 😁

According to Rachel Pancare who holds a Master of Science in childhood education from Bank Street College and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Skidmore College,
“Children take in the world around them through their eyes, and bright colors are one of the first aspects of sight that help them distinguish form and categorize objects. These colors appeal to young children, as they are easier for them to see. At about 5-months old, children can see colors with their still-developing vision, though distinguishing bright colors comes easier to them. As children age, they continue to be drawn to brighter colors. Color has also been known to affect their moods and behavior.”

Want to brighten up your board room while also boosting brain power? 🤔

Check this out ⬇️
According to the University of Arizona,
“Each time you look at a piece of art, your brain is working to make sense of the visual information it's receiving. From highly lifelike portraits to abstract collections of rectangles, looking at art stimulates the brain and puts our innate knack for organizing patterns and making sense of shapes to use. The more time you spend analyzing a piece of art, the more you are able to stimulate both unconscious and conscious brain functions. Doing so can increase your analytical and problem-solving skills in everyday life.” - University Staff
