Chasing the dawn at Point Pelee. There is an eerie, powerful magic in watching a massive sun crest the horizon, turning the quiet wetlands below into what looks like a bed of glowing embers and rising flames.

Because of the extreme focal length, the intense morning heat waves are visibly radiating through the frame, adding a raw, dramatic distortion to the light. It felt less like a standard sunrise and more like witnessing a landscape beautifully burning alive in the shadows.

There is a quiet majesty in the migration season that never fails to leave me breathless. 🌾

I took these shots back during the Spring 2025 migration, watching this Canada Goose glide effortlessly through the calm waters.
