I've just completed three sets of apparatus. One full plate and two 4x5s all with daylight version iodine boxes. Each mercury apparatus has 109 individual pieces, most of them custom fitted and finished. After testing them tomorrow, I'll ship by weeks end to my customers. About six weeks worth of work, I guess.

I've just received this review from a customer who is using a 4 x 5 mercury v***r apparatus... "I have been using your new vapour mercury box for over 100 dags, it doesn’t show any sign of lack of mercury vapour. It’s quite a good design." I look forward to seen the images.

I've been doing some development experiments to determine the best time and temp to use for my mercury vapour apparatus. Code named DM3. (Dr. Mike's Magic Mercurizer). I had assume the larger units may require more heat due to the interior volume...but perhaps not that much. The plate on the left was developed at 145°F in a Full Plate unit and the right image was developed at 125°F in a 4 X 5 unit. Both for 3 min. Left plate has a touch of frosting, so perhaps 10 degrees less will be enough. The colours are different also, but pay no heed. When I Iook at the plates from an opposite angle to the light source...the left plate looks reddish and the right plate looks yellowish. Its difficult to make a digital image of a daguerreotype and get the colours perfect...even though the the colour checker matches.
