Here’s a breathtaking view of Paris from our visit there last winter. Who knew that you could go on a rooftop of a mall (Galeries Lafayette) and this is what you would see. We just love travelling for weddings, and I think that becoming full time destination photographers would be one of our dreams in the future. If you could have your wedding anywhere else in the world where would it be? Also, let me know if you can spot the Eiffel Tower in the photo!

Anyone else a total makeup ju**ie like I am? My makeup game is not so strong now that I have a baby 👎. I’m lucky if I can throw on a quick lipstick and mascara before I’m out the door. However, makeup still remains one of my passions regardless and I would always get sucked into a Sephora every time I’m at the mall 😂. I think it would be really cool for all the makeup loving brides to document the makeup they used on their wedding day as part of their detail shots. Who else agrees? .

Mohamed in action getting that perfect shot from the perfect angle! In this case it was a shot of the groom singing to his bride (super cute I know😭). Sometimes we do some crazy things to get the shot we want, including but not limited to, climbing things, lying on the floor, throwing things in the air and running out of frame, you name it! We may look silly sometimes, but the end result is worth it! What would you do to get the perfect shot?

Eid is quickly approaching, and we are super excited! For those who celebrate, how do you prepare for Eid? For me, I like to start a whole beauty routine as a refresher, baths, masks, and sometimes henna! Check out this henna by the amazing during one of our shoots! The cold weather is finally over, but it is still chilly and gloomy outside! We are just sitting and reminiscing about warmer days, with a nice cup of warm tea/coffee, which is all we can think about while we are fasting 😂. ⠀

Meet baby Yasin! He has entered our lives about 3 months ago, which is why we’ve been on a bit a of a break lately. ⠀

Its just insane how someone so little can have such a huge impact on your life. I feel like it takes some confidence to be able to share the more intimate aspects of our life online. However, since we feel like through our business we’ve built relationships with our clients that make us feel like we are family. So we feel like its important to share some aspects of our lives with our Meraya family! ⠀

Hi everyone! Yes it's been a while! Yes we missed you too! And yes, we have some new and exciting news and plans for the future! ⠀

First off though, if you're new here, welcome! We are Mohga and Mohamed from Meraya Studios, and we are a husband and wife photography team! Mohga is an artist and loves all forms of classical art, and has been capturing moments through her photography for about 5 years now. Mohamed is an engineer by trade, but has been in the photography game for over 8 years. Together, we have been shooting weddings and couples for just over 3 years now! ⠀

For those that have been following us for a bit, you've noticed we have been on a bit of a break, and if you've seen our stories recently, you know why! (Check our "We're back!" highlights if you haven't seen it). While we do have some personal challenges we are working through, we are taking a limited number of bookings, and we still have a few openings for this year. This photo is from our adventure in old cairo. When you visit the Citadel, you can literally the entire city from there. It is just breathtaking! Even though Mohamed and I are both Egyptian, we never had a chance a chance before to discover the beauty and history of our home city. Being in old Cairo felt like we were in a scene from Aladdin 😂 which, btw, is Mohamed’s favourite Disney movie. Any Disney fans out there? Tell me your favourite Disney movie!

Sometimes flowers can express love in a way that words can’t. How stunning is Nadia looking on her engagement day as her groom surprises her with this gorgeous bouquet of flowers. I’d love one of those to put in my living room right now. ( hint hint ) 😉. What are favourite blooms? Mine are peonies and roses!

I would like to take a moment to express my love for an all white wedding. We were just guests at this wedding so we didn’t shoot that day, however, I couldn’t help but snap this photo with my phone because I couldn’t get over how pretty it was 😍 In my opinion, there is nothing more soothing to the eye and more beautiful than a setup like this. Who else agrees with me?!
