Portugal has always had a special place in my heart as my background is Portuguese, and my parents are from the beautiful Azores. Growing up, we’d visit the Azores, but my first trip to mainland Portugal wasn’t until 1998, when I went for the World Expo. And let’s just say…it’s definitely a magical place.
Last March - I went back for a 10-day adventure — and it was pure magic. From the fairytale vibes of Sintra to the coastal beauty of Nazaré and the charm of Lisbon’s cobblestone streets — every stop was unforgettable. And, of course, there was no shortage of incredible food and wine (obviously). And I may have ate half of my body weight in pasteis de nata.
I’m finally putting together a blog post all about this trip — the must-see spots, the flavors you can’t miss, and a few tips if you’re planning your own getaway. Stay tuned!
For now, here’s a little photo preview. Which spot would you want to visit first? And tell me — do you have any adventures planned this year? I’d love to hear! ✈️
