This is personal to me so I’ll write …

At 30, I became a permanent resident of Canada , I packed my bags and left my “perfectly” curated life to start another one .
I’ve been building . I have been hyper aware of my process/ journey and I decided early to enjoy every phase of this journey.

Nothing prepared me for the place of God’s exceeding covering and company. My wealth is in grace and favour .
I have been blessed by people, I have been held and covered by people . I am loved .
God is my source , so my sea will never run dry.

My wealth is in wisdom and consciousness. I’ve had to spend a lot more time with myself , trusting myself , teaching myself , motivating myself , enjoying moments by myself.
I have grown! I am different.

I CAN DO HARD THINGS.
I AM DOING HARD THINGS.
I HAVE DONE HARD THINGS.

I am learning to protect only things and people that matter , let go of things and people that feel forced and keep an open mind rooted in the sea of abundance because God is in the business of doing great things .

Wedding photography gave us an industry. But do we have a community?

For the record, I don’t stand for abuse of any kind, and I hope the woman who came forward finds justice. I’m not here to determine anyone’s guilt — that’s for the courts but this entire situation has raised a bigger question for me; what are our values as a community ? Is there even a community ?

Talent is not a substitute for character.

This World Photography Day, a few honest thoughts on standards, mentorship, and who we are behind the camera.

Loving this craft means caring enough to make it better.

Marketing Tip for Creative Entrepreneurs.
People don’t pay for what something is. They pay for what it means. This is the psychology behind storytelling in marketing.
Most people think a price reflects quality. It doesn’t.
It reflects perception. Two identical things can sit side by side, and the one with a story attached will sell for more every single time. That gap between what something is and what someone is willing to pay for it is where all of marketing actually lives.

I broke down exactly how this works in the video, including the experiment where thrift store junk got resold for almost thirty times its cost after nothing changed but the words next to it.
If your work keeps getting overlooked, sit with this.
It may not be undervalued. Your audience may just not understand why it matters yet. That part is your job, not theirs.

Also, the conversation on AI replacing photographers is such an interesting one to me because it’s simply just not possible . Images hold moments that in turn become memories .
