My shot of the farewell CN Tower pass from the Snowbirds over the weekend after 55 years of amazing crowds with their skills. πŸ«‘πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

On Friday, during their practice run I saw they had a tower pass with the whole formation, so on Saturday I made my way to the parking garage in Kensington Market, posted up with my 180-600mm lens, and waited for 3 hours in the sun for this shot from 1.7km away. Worth it!πŸ‘Œ

If you're interested in prints or licensing, just send me a DM and I'll be doing a run once I've wrapped up at TIFF.

This is it, the finale of The Snowbirds this weekend.😞

Caught this shot yesterday while having a coffee in Kensington market with my friend during our 8 hour long 12km photo walk through the city.

I've got my gear packed up, at least the 70-200mm and the 160-600mm lenses, not sure if I want to bring the 24-70 or the 14-24 (probably the 24-70).

Anybody else going to check out the air show today? I'm going to shoot it from the city today, and tomorrow I'll be down at the Lakeshore. πŸ‘Œ

That was an absolutely insane storm that tore through Toronto yesterday, and today, the Humber River is still angry.

Not sure I've ever seen the river raging this hard. Wow.

CNE opens tomorrow, TIFF kicks off in a couple weeks, we're already coming to the end of the summer of 2026, yet it feels like only yesterday that summer began. Sigh.

Heard the news on the radio this morning that at 6am a call came in for 3 alarm fire at Zanzibar that was on the roof.

In an interview with CBC News, Allen Cooper, the second generation owner of Zanzibar, said they plan to rebuild bigger and better than ever.

In an exciting bit of news, this morning I found out that my submission to the 2026 International Photography Awards has been selected as an Official Selection, and it's off to the final round of judging. πŸ˜€

I've never entered a photo contest before, but this year I decided to take the leap and give it a go by submitting my shot from St Patrick Subway station. Even if this is where this submission ends this year, I'll still be thankful for having made it to this point.

Final winners will be announced in the last week of August. 🀞

I dunno who in Toronto needs to see this today, but remember, even though it's supposed to be +40Β°C today, in a few months it'll look like this again (and possibly hit -40Β°C).

Stay cool out there, folks.🫑

When I visited Halifax last week I made a point to visit the place where my family, and a million others, first set foot on Canadian soil to start their new lives here, Pier 21.

I didn't have time to wait in the line to go through the records they have, I'll do that on another visit, however I do have the card that was sent to their sponsors notifying them of my family's arrival in Halifax on Wednesday October 5th 1949.

I'm thankful for my family's decision to make the journey, and call Canada home. πŸ«ΆπŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

I'm not sure who this subway driver is this morning, but he definitely blessed our train with some smiles on a Monday. I missed the first bit of his Bathurst station announcement as I scrambled for my phone to record it.

What a great vibe to the start of the week, I miss back in the days when these kinds of diy announcements were more common.

Hope you all have a great start to your week, everybody! πŸ™‚

Edit: Found him! Well, he found me actually! Fellow TTC riders, let me introduce you to Uncle Crawfy! πŸ₯³
