Throwback to my handsome young actor era.
Here at the loft space I had on Sterling doing a photo for promotion of a Charles Metro show I helped produce.
The rest of this beautiful cast Sebastien Bertrand Treasa Levasseur and Michelle P***k.
For animation fans this would have been a few years after Sailor Moon and just after recording the Backstreet Boys cartoon where I voiced Nick Carter and around the time I recorded for Capcomđź’Ą .
Shot on self timer with my Minolta xg woth it’s 50mm 2,8 on some Ilford 400.

Took this on her birthday last Saturday but I’m always careful ti not post a pic she’ll hate.
Also testing out this sweet early 60s Nikkor 50 mm lens that Dash Revery donated to the cause.

Rare week where I got the chance to audition a bunch.
Reminded me of when I started my career.
I feel grateful. Artistically it’s useful for me to remember what craft is at the heart of everything I do. The privilege of being a working actor in Toronto for most of my adult life and to have been able to keep the power on, feed my kids and get up everyday and just reach has been such a gift.
Did my career go the way I had wanted to? No. But I understand now that it was never meant to.

Great when you don’t even need to book the job for the audition to be valuable.
