Add joy to your garden (or to your containers) this year by incorporating some butterfly friendly plants.
Easier than you think. Here are some favourites:
Butterfly bush, Purple coneflower, Cosmos, Zinnias, Joe Pye W**d,
Milkweed, Lavender,Yarrow and Black eyed Susan.
(Cosmos and Zinniasand some Lavender Varieties are annuals which makes them super easy to incorporate not only in your garden but in containers as well)

Bring plants indoors, they will lift your spirits (especially on grey days) and clean the air. It does not have to be a big investment. Simple African violets for aprox $3 each come in assorted colours, even your local grocer carries them. Their flowers last quite some time, they are repeat bloomers. Easy care!
