13 years ago, in June 2013, I decided to follow both my heart and my gut and I became a full time photographer. What followed has been a journey of creation, service and learning. It’s very hard to put this journey into words, but as I look back, I feel both pride and gratitude, even if they’re glued together by some heartbreak and sacrifice.
When your work is very heart centered and you pour yourself into it, it’s hard to talk about balance and boundaries. I could write a book about my experiences: I had to learn very fast as a first generation immigrant to Canada with no business skills. Where there’s ups, there’s downs, where there’s joy there’s sadness, where there’s good work relationships there’s also bad ones.
What I want to say today is THANK YOU to all of you who have been on this journey with me so far ✨
