Ain’t October 3rd, but he definitely asked a question. 💍
(iykyk)

Before the setup, I asked Malik, “How do you think she’ll react?”

Without hesitation, he said, “Oh, she’ll definitely cry.”

He was right.

There’s something beautiful about seeing couples be loved. Not just grand gestures, but the kind of love that pays attention to the little things. The kind of love that knows. The kind that understands.

As the saying goes: “To be loved is to be known”.

It’s always a pleasure to watch love unfold and capture reactions that can’t be rehearsed. Wishing you both the best in this next chapter ❤️🌹

Hold on, adding these to my Pinterest board.

Weddings are all about the little details—the ones that make the day feel uniquely theirs. From carefully chosen décor to meaningful personal touches, every element tells a piece of the couple’s love story.

I don’t just capture the big moments; I focus on the details that bring it all together. The sparkler entrance, the seating chart, the gold accents, the stunning floral arrangements, and the smoke gently swirling around the dance floor during their first dance—all of these come together to create an unforgettable atmosphere.

These details aren’t just décor, they help make the day special.

Currently streaming season 31, starring this beauty! 🥳

This surprise birthday shoot was so thoughtful. I worked with my client to plan the sweetest surprise for his partner's 31st birthday. He took her to get her makeup done and then surprised her with a birthday shoot.

The look on her face was priceless, and the photos? Stunning (if I do say so myself).

Honored to be one of the official photographer for the Mon Sheong Foundation’s diamond celebration, the 60th Anniversary Cathay Ball.

I had the opportunity to capture moments from an incredible evening with over 1,000 attendants coming together for a great cause.

The evening featured live entertainment, fine dining, and an exclusive silent auction.

When you’re still waiting on the Forbes ‘30 under 30’ invite.

Shot my artist friend Andre Walker for his big 30 last year and we found the perfect backdrop for this coat. My artistic eye was well pleased.

I can no longer caption this, 'Last night was a movie', but watching this film go from stage to screen has been nothing short of epic. 🎥

I remember watching KLife Productions' plays back in 2013, and 10 years later, I had the honor of documenting the premiere of their play-turned-film. What started as performances that moved us (and had us rolling with laughter) has evolved into a cinematic masterpiece—now streaming on Tubi.

So...Kandice Smith, when's the sequel? 🍿

It’s been FOUR YEARS since I started my business, which means it’s that special time of the year when I actually post about myself instead of all of you.

📌 Year four has been a bit of a game-changer for me.

I’ve made some significant career shifts in hopes of finding more passion in what I do. It’s been a time of exploring new opportunities, redefining goals, and aligning my work more closely with what truly brings me joy.

Through it all, I’ve met amazing people, built incredible connections, and I get to do what I love every day. It’s not always perfect, and neither am I, but I truly appreciate this ride, with all its highs and lows.

Here's what I've accomplished over the past four years:
🌹 Taken over 80,000 photos
🌹 Spent 100s of hours editing
🌹 Hit my 100th invoice
🌹 Shot my first movie premiere
🌹 Scored my first speaking engagement
🌹 Travelled to the U.S. (twice) to shoot an international conference with over 4000 attendants

I'm grateful for the trust you all place in me and can't wait to do more.

Shoutout to for allowing me to take photos in their lovely bubble tea shop. Fun fact, I found out the owners were in the same program I was in at University of Toronto Mississauga. Small world :)

And as always, my personal photographer who always has me looking right for these once a year posts. ❤

Siri, play "So This is Love" 🎶

When my lovely client reached out about her wedding photos, she mentioned it would be her first professional photoshoot because her previous experience didn’t quite hit the mark with editing and lighting. When I asked her for some inspiration, she surprised me by sending a few shots from my own feed (I was so flattered), along with some from other photographers.

It was such a fun moment to see what caught her eye.

We kicked things off with a few consultations where we really connected, and together, we crafted a plan that matched her vision perfectly.

Then it was time to ensure I could deliver what I promised. So we scheduled a couple's engagement shoot at a stunning Japanese-inspired garden.

I made sure to keep things relaxed and fun, helping her feel comfortable and at ease. The end result was a set of photos that truly captured their love and joy.

Seeing their smiles and hearing their thank-yous made the whole experience so rewarding. Here's what she said after she got the photos: "We're in love with the photos 😍 thank you so much it's everything I was looking for! I can't wait to work with you again for the wedding ♥♥♥"

P.S. See the last post for some detail shots from the wedding :)
