Some real talk from behind the lens today…
There’s nothing worse than spending hours out shooting, feeling like you got the shot, only to come home, open them up, and realize they’re way too grainy. And no matter how much editing and tweaking you do… some photos just aren’t going to become great ones.
That’s a tough pill to swallow as a photographer.
But here’s the thing I’ve learned… sometimes it’s not about turning a bad photo into a perfect one. It’s about getting it to a place where it’s still meaningful, still usable… still good enough to tell the story.
And sometimes it just doesn’t make the cut at all.
That’s part of the process, and it happens more than people think.
What matters to me is this: I don’t share or deliver work I’m not proud of. If it’s not good enough, I won’t charge for it. Simple as that. My standard is that you’re happy with your photos, and if you’re not, then I’m not either.
Rainy days are editing days… and a little honesty from the process behind it.
