Throwback to baby Kate 🥺

LOL JK — I literally look the same

BUT, these pictures were taken about two years ago by the lovely @ so still a throwback. We went into this photoshoot with no plan and at the time I definitely enjoyed taking photos but I really had absolutely ZERO understanding of angles and posing so I don’t know the exact statistics because miss Cherri has the memory card but I don’t think very many of the photos turned out particularly well.

Like I said, we together had zero plan, I had zero understanding of posing or angles and I also just did not understand what Cherri was going for in the shoot because we did not plan anything so…… It’s safe to say, we got some shots but we probably could have gotten more. But thats okay! We had fun this day and we managed to salvage something LOL.

Looking forward to more shoots from us this summer and this time we’ll make sure to plan it out 🥰

Decided to take pics at a train track

And I hated basically all of them

Not even a huge fan of these ones 😭😭

Not only did I heavily edit them but even with the final edit they’re all just particularly below average imo 🥺🥺

I guess we all have a failed at some point and can only keep learning by making mistakes but I was soooooo sad even during the shoot

I got so annoyed cuz nothing seemed to be working and I’m as seemingly running out of ideas while we were there 😭

Oh wells, better luck next time 🥺

❄️Winter has come to an end (okay I’m like two weeks late but it’s fiiiiiine)

And so have the winter photos ☃️

👉 Last week I said I’d post my final winter photos but then I posted a reel where you guys voted on your favourite winter photos and the photo with the most votes was from this shoot which I hadn’t posted cuz I don’t personally love these photos

There’s nothing really wrong with these photos I just don’t find them interesting or dynamic or engaging at all….. 👀

This entire shoot was ROUGH — I was absolutely freezing my teddies off, my phone storage ran out, my phone kept freezing and my phone refused to screen record this day while I was trying to film the process of what it’s like to shoot alone

IT WAS A MESS — and then when I got home I ws so unimpressed with the photos LOL — like I said, I wouldn’t say they’re awful but idk, they don’t hit the mark for me

❄️ The last of the winter photos ❄️

….weeellll maybe not — looks like people enjoyed the photo I posted from my shoot in the snow so I’ll likely be uploading that next week!! So that’ll be the last of it even though this was technically suppose to be 💕

Took these at the Capilano Suspension bridge and I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the light that fires provide. I’m a really big sucker for warm toned photos 🥰

Getting ready for those spring shoots for the next month and simply cannot wait….. after spring is summer and that really is the best season 😍

🌸 Planning to do some shoots with cherry blossoms but open to more suggestions for the spring!! 🥰

This was the first and last time I will shoot in February thinking I’ll be fine wearing a jean jacket and tank top. I in fact was not fine. My skin hurt. I was freezing cold and honestly becoming delusional.

You live and you learn 😅😅 at least the photos turned out nice! The sky is overexposed in a few photos tho 😭

The best part for sure is the variety of photos we got in one location! Get creative with your angles, poses and where you are at your location! You can for sure find more than one area to shoot at if you get creative ❤️

Taking these photos and editing them was both very fun for this one and I thought the framing/photo idea was unique compared to others 🥰

When I’m doing, shoot at a slightly lower angle 🥰

😅 My first photo definitely isn’t prime example for this advice but the rest are 🥰

I loooooooove a super low angle photo for a lot of reasons but if you’re just casually taking photos with friends or of yourself somewhere, just lower the camera a tiny bit(about waist height is a good place to start) and tilt the camera up slightly. The pictures will generally turn out pretty nice from this angle.

I’m slowly depleting my photos from Dominican which is sad but I’ll be shooting a lot more stuff here so, can’t say I’m mad about it 🥰

The resort my friends and I stayed at in the Dominican Republic had so many amazing spots to take interesting and dynamic photos

Not only we’re so many things vibrant and colourful but there was so many different types of architecture it was really cool and I honestly wish I did more photo shoots with

Welcome welcome, to one of my fav things 🥰🥰 ….being in photos and learning about posing 🥰🥰

Soooooo…..
I do not consider myself to be PHOTOGENIC
So why did I start a photography account based around photos of myself? Seems kinda odd no?

Actually I started for that reason 🥰
Well, two reasons…..
1️⃣ I love being in photos
2️⃣ I don’t always love how I look in photos

And here’s the thing…. I know I’m not the only one who feels those two EXACT things. I am NOT naturally photogenic BUT it is possible to learn to be.
Looking good in a photo is about understanding angles, shapes, lighting and more. Master a variety of different things and you will understand how to be photogenic.

So…… here I am….. learning to take great photos AND teaching you about taking great photos

And if you’re wondering why it may be important to be photogenic, its important because everyone deserves a nice photo. As a woman, growing up I looked up to see many beautiful women who I would see in photos and then looking at my own, I would be disappointed. What I didn’t understand is it wasn’t my fault those photos weren’t nice…. well sometimes it was, but what I needed to know was it was possible to have a nice photo, it’s just about practice.

✨Does anyone else feel the same way I do about photos though? Or do you hate being in photos? Being in photos has to be one of my favourite things 💕💕
