Jan 2022. When the snow came down. I remember walking the dog home, rushing upstairs to retrieve the camera in hopes of making some nice pictures. I'm told that snow in the city is rare; the last snow dump being a decade ago. Just me, wandering the streets at night, trying to recapture the sense of wonder that has oftentimes seem elusive.

Red vs Orange?

Which of these 2 photographs do you think I should print and frame up?

I personally like the frame with more red. It is grittier, more raw. Perfect symbiosis between my love & frustration for Vancouver city. Although Nat feels the red communicates anger.

A little side project that Nat & I have got going. It's been awhile since we last collaborated as (married) partners. This project taps upon both our skillsets equally. Her's as an emphatic interviewer, and myself as visual maker. We hope to do our subjects justice and tell their stories in a dignified manner.
