Summiting Mt Garibaldi wasn’t on the agenda, but here we are 🏔️🧗🏼‍♀️💅✅

Im still glowing from this weekend with 🥹🩵 I signed up for a 4 day intro to mountaineering course on a whim because I have been talking about it for years! And the hardest thing about it was “doing it alone”.

I was like what does being alone say about me? It felt vulnerable to start something new without a familiar face to bounce off of. But I just keep finding I get to be the most ✨me✨ when I follow my heart. And being alone has shown me I’m determined, unstoppable and capable 😌.

I feel braver the more I represent femininity outdoors. 💞 I feel stronger wearing pink and skirts and dresses. And I am so proud to get to talk to all you girls on here about being safe, cute, functional, and responsible! I see you girly girls!!! And thank you for seeing me 🥹🩷 it means the world!!! It’s been so freaking fun! And this is only just the beginning 😌

This summer is all about doing things that scare me, and truthfully, starting mountaineering all alone takes the cake! 🙈

I always been someone who starts before they feel “ready” so I’m SO nervous-excited to dive in and learn all the skills that will keep me safe on glaciers and around crevasses! And I can’t wait to gain mountaineering and alpine climbing skills that will allow me to explore the mountains like I’ve always dreamed of 🥹🧗🏼‍♀️

I’ve always felt so at home in Colorado - she’s easily my favourite state. 😌 I keep finding myself coming back to explore her in new ways and seasons through hiking, skiing, and now running ⛷️🏃🏼‍♀️🥾

I love the way mountains shape people, and you can feel how the Rockies shaped Coloradans into warm, kind, and extremely adventurous souls. To be here you have to breathe deeper, climb higher and push your body past its comfort level just to coexist between these peaks. And I think that’s beautiful and wild and what makes this place so special 💜

This trip was exactly that! And an honour to experience it with the best crew 🥹
