Here’s another one from Nitobe Memorial Gardens. This place has a special way of making you feel like you’ve escaped the city without actually leaving. There’s also this simple understanding between everyone around you that this is a place to slow down and live in the moment. A mutual respect for each other’s inner peace. Finally, I was able to get some time to go shoot after our move. We’ve had such great weather lately and I was able to find some time before work to capture these. Moving is so stressful and I needed to take a moment, even for just 20 minutes like i had, and reset.

Yesterday was my birthday so I was able to get some time with family to go to one of my favourite spots in the whole city. Looking forward to showing those soon!

Serenity can be found, as long as you’re looking for it

These were taken on my way into work. The morning fog and sun just felt way too tempting to not stop and take it all in. A quick 20 minutes at Burnaby lake, and i found myself feeling a level of peace I needed.
