Hot mama đŸ”„đŸ”„đŸ”„

I’ve been having a LOT of conversations with women lately that sound something like this:

“I really want to do a session
 I just don’t think I’m ready yet.” or “one day I’d love to do a session.”

And listen
 I get it.

Especially if you’re a mom.

It’s very easy to spend years being the person behind the camera. Remembering what everyone needs. And somewhere in there, you can start quietly waiting for some future version of yourself to be the one who gets to have this experience.

Here’s something I’ve learned after photographing hundreds of women:

The women walking into my studio aren’t a secret population of extraordinarily confident people. 😂

They have insecurities. They get nervous. They wonder if they’ll know what to do. Some of them sit in the parking lot thinking, oh god, am I actually doing this?

And then they walk through the door anyway.

You don’t need confidence to qualify for this experience. You just need to decide that the woman you are right now is worth showing up for.

One day your kids are going to look back at photographs from this chapter of their lives. I hope there are photos that remind you that you were here, too. đŸ€

Okay but can we talk about how women will spend money on literally EVERYONE except themselves without thinking twice???

Kids? Yep. Partner? Absolutely. Wedding? Take my credit card. Random thing the dog definitely did not need? Obviously.

And I’m guilty of it too. đŸ™‹â€â™€ïž

The second it’s something that exists purely for you, suddenly we’re opening a full investigation. 😂

“Do I really need this?” “Is it worth the money?” “Should I be spending that on myself?”

Babe.

You don’t need to submit a business case for doing something that makes you feel fu***ng incredible.

And yes, you leave my studio with beautiful photos.

But that’s only PART of what you’re investing in.

You’re getting a whole day where you don’t have to take care of anyone else.

You get pampered. You get hyped the hell up. You laugh. A LOT. You do something that probably scares you a little. And then you sit down and see yourself in a way you maybe haven’t in YEARS.

That’s why I will never describe what I do as “just photos.” The photos are what you get to keep.

The “holy sh*t
 THAT’S ME?!” moment is what I really want for you.

So if the only thing stopping you is that little voice saying you shouldn’t spend that kind of money on yourself

Not every bo***ir photo has to be soft, romantic lingerie on a bed.

We can play with shadows.
Movement.
Interesting crops.
Black & white.
Images that feel a little less “bo***ir photoshoot” and a little more art you happen to be the subject of.

Your session is built around your taste, so if your Pinterest board is full of moody black & whites and artsy editorial images, SEND. IT. TO. ME.

We’ll make something that feels like you, just perhaps a version of you that belongs in a very expensive coffee-table book. 😉
