Who says your engagement session needs to be before the wedding? Elizabeth and Patrick were apart right up until their wedding (Patrick lives in Austria) which meant we had no time to get out together. The good news is couples photos are just as special no matter when you take them. We spent an evening exploring before Patrick got back on a plane.

It’s been so hard to predict Vancouver’s weather lately! The evening of David and Vivian’s engagement session featured a surprise cloud burst and wind that proved to be the mvp for the drama it brought. Despite the little bit of uncertainty we had a lot of fun exploring Jericho, talking about dumplings and hoping to spot the elusive grey whale visiting our harbor. Spoiler alert: we only saw a beaver and a seal. 😅

Can’t wait to get together again for their wedding in August! If you’re looking for a creative, emotion lead photographer in Vancouver get in touch. I’d love to meet you!

Elizabeth and Patrick’s story online, playing video games with a group of friends that somehow became family.

That same group showed up for them here, just like they did in Austria last fall when they celebrated the first part of their wedding. Two celebrations, one story and a whole lot of connection woven through both. I especially loved the personal touches like video game instrumentals playing throughout cocktail hour.

I met Elizabeth through her maid of honour Joanna’s wedding a couple years ago, so getting to come back and document this next chapter felt really special.

Riverway Clubhouse gave us the perfect backdrop for a day that felt easy, joyful and full of people who truly know them.

More to come from this one, but here’s a little glimpse to start.

Hannah and Gustavo got the full West Coast experience for their wedding at Whytecliff Park. Overcast skies, a bit of rain in the morning and sea lions barking through their vows.

Honestly, it couldn’t have fit them better.

They brought such a great sense of spontaneity to the day, including a cold spring ocean dip alongside their friends at the of our time together.

I loved getting to spend the afternoon exploring one of my favourite beaches with them, capturing the quiet moments, the laughter and everything in between.

This is exactly why I love intimate weddings. There’s space to slow down and be present. To actually feel the day as it unfolds.

If you’re planning something small and meaningful, I’d love to hear what you’re dreaming up!

Welcome Maia 🤍

There’s something really special about getting to come back to a family again and again. I photographed Maia’s parents’ wedding in 2020, right in the middle of everything when they chose to move forward with an intimate backyard celebration anyway. It was emotional, joyful, and so completely them. I still smile thinking of the Office references!

Since then, I’ve had the honour of photographing their first baby… and now sweet Maia.

Watching this family grow, seeing the way they make each other laugh and getting to document these new chapters is not something I take lightly. It means the world to be invited back into these moments.

Maia is already so loved. Her nursery is filled with little pieces of her parents, from The Sound of Music to a love of geese. It’s thoughtful and warm and full of personality, just like her family!

These are the stories that stay with me.

If you’re expecting and want these early days documented in a way that feels natural and connected, I’d love to hear from you. Reach out anytime!

Three years married and a tradition of getting photographed in every city they visit.

We spent the evening wandering, chasing light, and talking about everything from world adventures to fantasy books and Doctor Who. It felt less like a session and more like exploring with old friends.

There’s something really special about being invited into a small piece of someone’s story like this, especially when it’s part of something they’ll carry with them for years to come.

Such an honour to spend the night with you both! Have an amazing rest of your visit to our beautiful coast!

Most people think their wedding photos are about the two of them.

And they are, of course.

But there are always these other moments woven in. The ones you don’t plan for, the ones that catch you a little off guard, the ones that end up meaning just as much later on.

This is one of those.

It’s not about doing anything or getting it “right.” It’s just about being there, paying attention and recognizing when something real is unfolding in front of you.

That’s always what I’m looking for.

If this is the kind of thing you want remembered from your day, you can reach out through my site to start the conversation.

I’m always a little obsessed with spaces that have presence.

The kind where the light hits just right, the lines feel intentional and everything around you actually adds to the moment. It shifts the energy in the best way and gives me so much more to play with creatively.

But the magic is never just the space. It’s what happens inside it and how those two things come together.

If you’re drawn to imagery like this, I’d love to hear what you’re planning. Reach out through my site and let’s start dreaming something up!

The way these two light up with each other is something special. Katarina and Jonny’s session was full of laughter, quiet connection and the warmth of just being together. Wandering through Stanley Park with them was such a joy.

They’re getting married this summer on Pender Island and I already know it’s going to be something really special! I can’t wait to capture all their memories.

If you’re planning your wedding and want photos that feel like you (and not a checklist) I’d love to connect. You can reach out through the link in my bio to start the conversation! 🌸🌲

Sometimes a wedding day holds a surprise the couple never sees coming. A moment that has them laughing and smiling with their whole body.

I love photographing the moments that shift the energy in a room. When everyone leans in, laughs, cheers and the celebration takes on a life of its own.

I photograph weddings in Vancouver with a focus on the full experience of the day, from the quiet moments to the ones no one forgets.

If that feels like the kind of story you want remembered, I’d love to connect. ❤️📷
