There’s a brief moment in Gastown after the bars close when the city finally falls silent.

Around 2:30am, beneath dense fog and glowing streetlights, Vancouver’s iconic Flatiron Building emerged exactly as I had imagined it.

I spent a long time chasing this mood. One thing never changed — the composition.

This is Ghosts of Gastown.

Above the snow-covered hills of Germany, The Enchanted Watchtower revealed itself for only a few fleeting minutes before the fog closed in once again. After hours of waiting in freezing silence, the castle emerged exactly as I had hoped—mysterious, elevated, and seemingly suspended above the clouds.

Some photographs are planned. Others are earned. This was one of them.

For years, this small island in Esquimalt Harbour quietly held my attention.

Cole Island—once a Royal Navy ammunition depot—has stood watch since the 1800’s. I found myself returning again and again, searching for the right perspective… and waiting for the light to match the weight of its history.

On this particular morning, everything aligned. The water fell still, the mist softened the scene, and warm light brought these historic structures back to life—if only for a moment.

After countless visits and patient waiting, the conditions finally aligned. The gardens hushed, the water mirrored the stillness, and in a single frame Autumn Echoes came to life. 🍂✨

Serenity - British Columbia

Houseboats, jet skis, and powerboats, traverse Shuswap Lake throughout the summer. It’s 400 KM shoreline is dotted with sunseekers, enjoying the numerous beaches and docks. Found just beyond its shoreline though is what is truly meant by the license plate slogan ‘Beautiful British Columbia’. Here, with only a short walk you’d find a slice of ‘Serenity’ as you immerse yourself in the endless and untouched forest nearby. (Click link to read more)
