I just released a new film: BIG LONELY DOUG.
This project became far more meaningful to me than I expected.
Throughout my life, I've been incredibly fortunate to have loving family and wonderful friends, yet I've often carried a subtle sense of loneliness that was difficult to explain. Over the years, I've spent countless hours alone in nature, and in those quiet places I've found a sense of peace and belonging that I had been searching for all along.
In many ways, I resonate with Doug.
Not only because of his beauty, but because of what he represents. There is something both painful and beautiful about solitude. Loneliness can hurt, but it can also deepen our appreciation for connection, friendship, family, and the moments we share with one another.
Standing alone in a sea of absence, Doug has become a symbol of resilience, perspective, and endurance.
