Posted to my fbook yesterday so figured I should blow the dust off my IG account and share some work. I wanna ask y'all though. That third shot with the murder mittens out, is that something you'd want to see in print? I got told this would make good promo for my prints and I just have a hard time seeing it. Alright, it's January and I know everyone's wallets are hurting from the holidays. I can tell because I have almost no bookings this month. Scary situation for me to be in. In the next couple of weeks, I'm gonna be doing some brainstorming for Valentine's Day shoots. I don't have a studio space to work in at the moment so it's looking like an "on location" occasion. Lots of events coming in for February, which is fantastic, but doesn't put food on my table or ensure I have a roof over my head right now. I have these prints remaining for sale at a lowered rate. $40 each, first come first served, when they're gone so is that price. My rates for just about everything I do will be going up soon so it might be a good time to jump at this. I just uploaded 2 galleries of photos from events last year and more are on the way. If you want any shots from those printed let me know and I'll process them for $50 (8x10, other sizes available upon request).

I'm going to be offering up some other services soon too, so keep a look out for those.

I really don't enjoy being in front of a camera, but I like being behind one, and I love spinning poi. So I've been thinking about making flow art videos. I don't really have a great space to make something like that work at the moment, but I would figure something out. I am however having a hard time with plotting a direction. There are tonnes of beginner tutorials out there, so it feels a little odd to tackle that area myself. I like to record myself for the sake of analyzing what I'm doing and trying to correct errors I see. But that doesn't make for exciting content. There's some imposter syndrome playing a role too, but it's not so much that I don't believe in myself or that I can do it, but more just that it's already been done so why do it again? I am however motivated by the prospect of generating revenue from this kind of content creation. What do you guys think? I'm not really looking for a "yeah do it" kind of response, just trying to see what I might have overlooked and welcome feedback.

Told myself I wouldn't get my hopes up about capturing the eclipse since I've never been around one with my camera and I know for certain I'm lacking the proper filters for my 150-600mm. So when I woke up and saw that it was overcast, I was filled with a dread I somehow overlooked. The forecast said partly cloudy, so I allowed myself hope in a place that historically has shown I should not. Glad I did though because that hope had me compulsively looking out the window hoping to see some sun. Let me tell you, I'm not disappointed. Shot on my D750 with Sigma 150-600(c) and only filtered by the clouds. Swipe for the composite version.

I so rarely post on here anymore. Not very motivated to keep up with socials. Doesn't help that I've always despised the platform. It sure would be nice to have a social media platform dedicated to photography.
