Happy International Moon Day! 🌕

This full moon is the Buck Moon, also named as Thunder Moon.

Hard to believe it was exactly 55 years ago that the first moon landing with the Apollo 11 mission happened on July 20, 1969. Neil Armstrong had taken the first step on the moon. That’s one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind. 🚀

If you had been around for this first historic 1969 landing as a child, teen or adult, do you remember where you were when this happened and how you felt about this moment? I'd love to know! ❤️

The last moon landing was in Dec 1972 with Apollo 17.

We are working on going back to the moon and landing on it again. Artemis 2 is next on the agenda as a flight test with crew around the moon, slated for Sept 2025. Then, our new historic Moon landing is slated for Sept 2026, this time on the south pole with Artemis 3 with the first woman and first person of colour.

Leaving you with famous words from JFK from that historic decade of the 60's that he had wanted to make the goal of landing on the moon. “We choose to go to Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy but because they are hard; because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to win, and the others, too.”

Hope all the moms out there had an amazing day celebrating yesterday for Mother's Day! I had a wonderful day with my boys and my husband and it was a beautiful day outside too! Being a mom is truly a gift and I embrace it all, even the challenging times too! Moms rock, and they carry so many hats!!! P.S. It is always good to be in the photos with your kids! 🫶
