It is just the props … you’ll see in June what it is all about.
Thank you for your support, inspiration, and deep and thoughtful conversations that let me grow as an artist ♥️
«A Gaze of One’s Own» will open on June 12, 2026 at 6pm in .ch at the I will look forward to celebrating the opening with you.
In this exhibition, I bring together two bodies of work that address transience and vulnerability. I work with my own photographic processes, fragmenting and deconstructing images and reassembling them in order to challenge my own gaze.
I will show two bodies of work: In «A Gaze of One’s Own» I ask myself if I have a gaze of my own when looking at my body? With a searching gaze, I observe my naked, aging body—curious, playful, sometimes painful. I photograph myself, my own body, because I cannot objectify myself. Image-making becomes a gesture and takes on the character of a performative act. I seek to question my own way of seeing: what we see, how, when, and why—and to make this perceptible through art.
An «Apparition of Memory» feels like a new language of flower photography. Yet it is not the flowers themselves that stand at the center, but their transience—their quiet disappearance, reminding us of the fleeting nature of life.
In my unique photographic process, dried blossoms replace the light-sensitive emulsion on old glass slides—the flower becomes the emulsion. Light passes through it and transforms it into fragile photographs. An Apparition of Memory is a homage to aging, to traces of time, to the beauty of passing.
