Weekend one of ZÜRICH OPENAIR (official) felt like the perfect send-off to summer in Zürich. With the weather sitting in that sweet spot, warm enough to dance all night, cool enough to breathe easy, the crowds came alive, soaking in one last golden weekend of music under open skies.
From Shawn Mendes headlining Friday night with fireworks that lit up the night, to Anyma’s hypnotic visuals closing Saturday, to Australian favourites Empire of the Sun delivering a surreal techno-futuristic dream of a performance, the lineup brought an international edge to Zürich’s summer stage. Balancing that were beloved German-speaking acts — Scooter had everyone bouncing like it was the ’90s again, while Patent Ochsner, Nina Chuba, SDP and others kept the local heartbeat strong.
