میری روح کا المیہ یہ ہے کہ یہ اس جہاں میں ہو کر بھی یہاں کا نہیں ہو سکا۔ یہ ایک زخمی پرندے کی طرح ہے جو رات بھر کسی معصوم بچی کی مانند سسکیاں لیتا ہے، اس سکون کی تلاش میں جو اس زمین پر ممکن ہی نہیں۔ میری اپنی ذات سے یہ جنگ ازل سے ہے کہ یہ روح اس فانی دنیا کے لیے بنی ہی نہیں۔ اسے یہاں چین نہیں مل سکتا؛ اس کا اصل ٹھکانہ تو اگلا جہاں ہے، اور وہاں پہنچنے تک اسے بس خاموشی کے ساتھ اس قیدِ حیات کو گزارنا ہے۔۔۔
