Memories that stand the test of time

I keep a few weeks open each year for weddings away from home. In 2027 it’s Tuscany, September 24th to October 10th. I like soft afternoon light. And the hours after the ceremony, when nobody is rushing anywhere. The images here are from a wedding weekend at Manoir de Lébioles in the Belgian Ardennes. In Tuscany I’ll work the same way. If you’re getting married in Tuscany in that window, tell me the date and the venue. I’ll take it from there.

Everyone researches the photographer. Fair. But some of the biggest factors in how your wedding photos turn out have nothing to do with me.

The dress you can actually breathe in. The DJ who fills the floor by the second song. The light at your venue. Even the pile of shopping bags in the corner of the getting-ready room. And the timeline with air in it: I help every couple build that one, but nobody can un-plan a chaotic day once it’s running.

Good photos happen on days that are planned to feel good. The looking-good part follows.

Verlegen muss einem dieser Satz nicht sein. Steif vor der Kamera ist der Normalzustand von Menschen, die keine Models sind. Posieren lernt ihr bei mir deshalb nicht. Ihr bekommt etwas zu tun, und die Bilder entstehen in den Sekunden, in denen ihr mich vergesst.

One year ago today, Xenia and Falko stopped in Aachen on their way to France and got married, just the two of them, in the White Hall. When they booked me, this account had less than 300 followers. The algorithm didn’t bring them here. They looked at the pictures and decided.
One year later, none of that matters to the photos. They show a quiet morning, a ceremony for two, champagne in the Elisengarten. Happy first anniversary, you two.
