This is Ocean Cay, MSC’s marine reserve island in the Bahamas. 💙 This was our last stop in our Caribbean cruise on the MSC World America, before we headed back to Miami, and I was not prepared for how beautiful this island was. We got to spend the whole day here!

This island is only accessible exclusively to MSC cruisers (as well as the higher-end cruise Explora). Just to be surrounded by impossibly crystal clear, turquoise waters, relaxing on white-sand beaches with palm trees, both my sister and I were pinching ourselves that this was real.

We loved that we get to stay here the whole day, and with nowhere to be. There’s so many beaches to choose from, so much space and corners and cabanas to take a nap on, and so much sea to just float in.

Ocean Cay reminded me that sometimes the best part of a trip isn’t having a packed itinerary. Sometimes, it’s having an entire day to simply breathe, enjoy the sunshine, and appreciate where you are.

Things I’ve learned in Florence! 🇮🇹✨ I’ve long dreamed to visit the Cradle of Renaissance, and now, I finally have. What a city — an ultimate haven for travel buffs, creatives, art and history nerds, food lovers, and practically anyone who loves culture and everything Italian. 🤌

One of my favourites things about what I do is that I get to soak and immerse into destinations like Florence, truly get to know the city, go beyond the surface, explore deeper, scout for tours, find hidden spots and gems, where regular tourists dare not to tread (or at least, uninformed where to go).

It helps me understand the city’s heart and soul, capture it with my own lens, and then provide a better, lived-in experience for my own clients, those who desire to get an informed perspective of Florence, experience the city without rushing, and instead find themselves soaking in the divine atmosphere of this sun-kissed Tuscan capital. ☀️

Still can’t get over this MSC World American Caribbean cruise! 🌴🛳️😎 This is the most jaw-dropping ship I’ve ever stepped foot on — the brand-new megaship by MSC Cruises, recently crowned Best Overall Cruise Ship in 2025.

We went on a 7-day cruise from Miami, Florida, sailing through Puerto Plata in Dominican Republic, San Juan in Puerto Rico, and Ocean Cay, MSC’s private island in the Bahamas! What’s more, I get to share all of this adventure with my beautiful dearest sister, Maya! 💛

We had the most amazing time exploring all 22 decks, with 19 restaurants, 18 bars and cafés, 7 swimming pools and hot tubs, water park, rides, theatres, gym, spa, and even a secret speakeasy bar — there’s so much contained in this ship, and thankfully we have entire 3 sea days to fully enjoy it.

We loved San Juan, making it such a really colourful stop on the itinerary, but it’s truly Ocean Cay in the Bahamas that gave us that Caribbean vibe, all sunshine, turquoise waters and stunning stretches of sand will make a beach-loving, holidaymaker out of you. 💙

Keukenhof is unlike anything else in the world. 🌷 Spread across 32 hectares in Lisse, Netherlands, this is one of the world’s largest flower gardens, and every spring, it comes to life with over 7 million bulbs in bloom — tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, and hundreds of varieties you’ve never even heard of.

The catch? It only opens for 8 weeks a year, usually late March through mid-May, which makes it one of the most seasonal travel experiences on the planet. Miss the window and you wait another year. I was so lucky I got to the chance to visit the garden this year, and see it in bloom! 🌼💐🌷

Inside, it’s less of a garden and more of a world — winding paths, glasshouses filled with rare blooms, windmills framed by fields of colour stretching as far as you can see. Every corner is a photograph. Every path takes you somewhere more beautiful than the last.

A few tips if you’re planning a visit — go on a weekday morning to beat the crowds, book your tickets in advance online (they do sell out), and pair it with a bike ride through the surrounding tulip fields for the full Dutch spring experience. 🌷🚲

This is the kind of place that reminds us why we travel. Put it on your list!

Is one perfect day in Amsterdam possible? Oh, yes. 🇳🇱 This city rewards those who slow down and walk it properly, because you don’t really get to experience Amsterdam if you don’t walk it.

🚶 Walk in the morning. Start at the canals when the water is still and the streets are yours. Follow Damrak and Warmoerstraat south from Centraal — two of the most atmospheric streets in the old centre. Stop on every bridge you cross. Corsgenbrug is one of the most beautiful — classic Amsterdam, perfectly framed.

🏛 Amsterdam Centraal. Don’t just pass through it. Stop and look up. Built in 1889 by Pierre Cuypers — the same architect who designed the Rijksmuseum — it’s one of the great railway stations of Europe. Gothic arches, red brick towers, Dutch Renaissance detail at every turn.

🍰 Indulge in the Dutch appeltaart in one of the many cafés in the city. We went to Koepelcafé.

🎨 Spend a whole afternoon in Rijksmuseum. Book your tickets in advance and give it at least two to three hours. Spend a whole afternoon here, soak all the Dutch Golden Age art, and give yourself all that Rembrandt fix you need in your life.

🍺 Stop at Café Het Bruine Paard for a drink. This is what Amsterdam actually feels like away from the tourist trail. Feel that neighbourhood vibe.

🍛 A fantastic dinner at Restaurant Long Pura. Best meal you’ll have in a while. Indonesian food is woven into Amsterdam’s history and Long Pura does it beautifully. Order the rijsttafel, or rice table — a spread of 12 to 20 small dishes — and take your time with it.

There's no better time to be in Cannes than in May! ✨ The French Riviera is dazzling this time of the year, and if you still haven't been, it's time for you to put this on your travel itinerary.

Cannes in buzzing this time of the year, with the Cannes Film Festival underway, so if you love films, cinema, old-school glamour, beach, sun, the sea, and everything French—this is the pitch-perfect place to be. 📽

I've been in Cannes for about 5-6 consecutive years as a film critic in my mid-20s (can you believe it??), and loved every time being there. The Côte d'Azur is one of the most stunning places in the world. The French really know how to live, don't they?

A little guide to Little Havana — this place is not just a tourist attraction, it's Miami's most authentic neighbourhood.

Built not as a theme or a curation, but out of necessity. When Cuban exiles fled the 1959 revolution, they arrived in Miami with almost nothing and rebuilt their entire world on one street. That street is Calle Ocho. And walking it feels less like sightseeing and more like being let in on something real.

Here's your first-timer's guide to doing it right. Save this. 👇

👀 WHAT TO SEE
→ Calle Ocho — walk the main street end to end. The street itself is the experience.
→ Domino Park — real locals playing dominoes under the trees. Don't skip this.
→ The cigar shops — hand-rolled, aromatic, the real thing
→ The murals — there's so much mural art of the walls of this neighbourhood, even colourful tiles.
→ Ball & Chain — legendary live music bar, get there early

☕ WHAT TO ORDER
→ Cafecito — tiny, strong, sweet. Order at the ventanita window and drink it standing up like a local
→ Cuban empanada — shredded beef, olives, raisins. A serious must-have here.
→ Mojitos at Ball & Chain — three in, and your hips will start moving on their own with the live Latin music.
→ Mango daiquiri at Old's Havana — dangerously good, have three.

📍 PRACTICAL TIPS (How to do Little Havan right)
→ Come late in the afternoon or in the evening — the music floats onto the street and the whole neighbourhood is electric
→ Get here from South Beach for $2 by bus — Miami doesn't have to break the bank
→ Little Havana was declared a National Treasure in 2017. Treat it like one.

Little Havana is the one neighbourhood in Miami that really stayed with me. It's like a mini-city within a city, built from grief and love and really good coffee. And let's not forget, really damn good Latin music.

I never expected this. 🤯 Going to Miami, experiencing South Beach, seeing Wynwood, Brickell, Vizcaya Gardens and Coconut Grove. This was all figment of my travel media-addled imagination, until now. 🇺🇸

They say, in life, we don’t always get what we want — instead, we get what we need.

Well, who knew Miami’s was exactly what I needed? Not even me. 😂
