In these words Christel Schwarz describes his family’s journey which begins in Jever, northern Germany. The Schwarz family is a long-established Sinti family in the region from which large parts were deported during the N**i era.
It took years to make this journey possible. A journey into a past full of painful memories and collective trauma. And, sadly, a confrontation with the ongoing challenges of the present.
