Longing for spring…

My most complicated self portrait to this day.

Freezing and almost jumped on by a fish, getting into and out of the water a hundred times, trying to not let my camera fall and almost loosing my waterproof light because it went out.

Still worth it.

Let’s meet at the next exhibition for the perfect start at in Pankow

I will show one of the best series I ever made in a world premier: “I know how I got here, but I don’t know how to leave.”

This series encapsulates my feeling, that for us as humans the best days might be behind us. It is an exploration of the disappearance of optimism, a new deep melancholy that separates us from the people we could feel close to. To find a glance of hope in times like this, we need to take a longer look: The whimsical often hides behind a sad curtain.

This is a Mega collaboration between so many great models, artists and humans that made this possible!

Shortly before the show in Berlin at , they came together to create.

Why the long faces?
Because times are good for the overall feeling of despair, the bus is always late and someone just stole the last cigarette.
The search for a whimsical glance of hope is never a waste of time; but man, do we have to look these days.

Lara Wilde is using light painting to stage scenes that represent raw human emotions in a complex outside world.
