Art Foto Mode is an initiative to organise photography projects with some of the most influential contemporary lens based auteurs as inspirational teachers and mentors. Art Foto Mode endeavours to grow experientially and bring together a community of photographic artists from around the world to develop their personal visual expression and to engage in workshops, master classes, exhibitions, book
production and lectures in an informal, open and yet intensive atmosphere. A British photographer, writer and lecturer, with experience in the field of photography. Having graduated with a BA Hons in Film, Video and Photographic Arts and an MA in Photographic Studies both at the University of Westminster in London he went on to be an editorial photographer for publications such as Liberation, Le Monde, Sunday Times Magazine, Weekend Guardian Magazine, Vice, Newsweek and is represented by Agence VU in Paris. He was the deputy editor and writer for the contemporary photography magazine, 1000 Words and organised workshops in Morocco with such notable photographers as Antoine d’Agata, Anders Petersen and Roger Ballen. He was a senior lecturer at Nottingham Trent University and a lecturer at Akademia Fotografii in Warsaw and Berliner Technische Kunstschule in Berlin. He now teaches at Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie and writes on a regular basis for the British Journal of Photography.
