A little literary gem in Cologne’s Südstadt. 📚

Opened in 2024, litty is a small independent bookshop with a thoughtfully curated selection of contemporary fiction, English-language books and titles from independent publishers.

There’s a particular focus on female, q***r and underrepresented voices, alongside a lovely selection of all-time favourites that deserve to be rediscovered rather than forgotten among the latest releases.

Beyond the bookshelves, litty brings readers together through two book clubs, readings and literary events.

A wonderful little address for anyone who enjoys discovering books beyond the usual bestseller lists.

the art of browsing books 🤍📖

A bookshop is the only place where getting lost feels like finding something.

You walk in without looking for anything in particular, wander between the shelves, pick up books you’ve never heard of.

You take those tiny sideways steps along the shelves, tilt your head to read the spines, pull out a book, study its cover, read the first few lines and carefully put it back.

Because for a bibliophile, browsing isn’t just what happens before buying a book. It’s an art in itself.

Ein Pretty Book Place mitten in Frankfurt. 📚☕️

Mitten in der Innenstadt wartet die frisch modernisierte Hugendubel-Filiale am Steinweg darauf, entdeckt zu werden.

Zwischen liebevoll gestalteten Büchertischen, neuen Leseinspirationen und einer kleinen Kaffeepause im Henris Bistro lässt es sich wunderbar durch die Bücherwelten stöbern.

Save this for your next trip to Belgium: every Sunday morning, books take over the riverfront in Ghent.

Secondhand books, old editions, prints and little treasures all along the Ajuinlei, right in the middle of the old town.
