This is ( ) Vanessa P. She is the artist and creator of the colorful travesty show Showgirls Frankfurt. After our conversation I was left with many pleasant thoughts. Vanessa is open, fun and very optimistic. Like all the participants of the project, she shared her story of discrimination in Germany in the hope that it would be a reason for people to think about the consequences of this problem for the whole country and for each individual. I understand that it was a difficult task for all the project participants to talk about their problems openly and on camera, but silence does not change anything and it is great that people realize this and are ready to act.

Das ist Vanessa P. Sie ist die Künstlerin und Produzentin der bunten Travestieshow Showgirls Frankfurt. Nach unserem Gespräch hatte ich viele angenehme Gedanken. Vanessa ist offen, lustig und sehr optimistisch. Wie alle Teilnehmer des Projekts hat sie ihre Geschichte über die Diskriminierung in Deutschland erzählt, in der Hoffnung, dass sie die Menschen zum Nachdenken über die Folgen dieses Problems für das ganze Land und für jeden Einzelnen bringt. Mir ist klar, dass es für alle Projektteilnehmer eine schwierige Aufgabe war, offen und vor der Kamera über ihre Probleme zu sprechen, aber Schweigen kann nichts ändern, und es ist großartig, dass die Menschen das verstehen und bereit sind zu handeln.

Nie wieder, oder?

Project against discrimination in society

This is Diana, and she has been working in the social sector for many years. She helps young people and their families understand each other and deal with internal problems.

Unfortunately, Diana has also faced discrimination, and she told this story in the hope that people will have the opportunity to think about how discrimination harms society and alienates people from each other just because of external differences and backgrounds.

Das ist Diana, und sie arbeitet seit vielen Jahren in der Sozialarbeit. Sie hilft Jugendlichen und ihren Familien, sich gegenseitig zu verstehen und mit inneren Problemen fertig zu werden.

Leider hat Diana auch Diskriminierung erlebt und sie hat diese Geschichte in der Hoffnung erzählt, dass die Menschen die Möglichkeit haben, darüber nachzudenken, wie Diskriminierung der Gesellschaft schadet und Menschen voneinander entfernt, nur wegen äußerer Unterschiede und Hintergründe.

This is Mariano. He's from Argentina. Mariano is a musician and today he lives in Germany. He plays beautiful music on the guitar and takes part in interesting creative projects. I was able to attend one such performance with Mariano, I wrote about it separately and it was a very great experience.

Like all the other participants of my project Mariano has his own experience of discrimination and I realize what a consequence it leaves in everyone's life and how difficult it is to talk about it, but it is necessary. Silence can't change anything.

All portraits and video stories will be available at the presentation of the project, and I will share behind-the-scenes material on social networks.

Das ist Mariano. Er kommt aus Argentinien. Mariano ist Musiker und lebt heute in Deutschland. Er spielt schöne Musik auf der Gitarre und nimmt an interessanten kreativen Projekten teil. Ich habe es geschafft, eine solche Aufführung mit Mariano zu besuchen, ich habe separat darüber geschrieben und es war eine sehr schöne Erfahrung.

Wie alle anderen Teilnehmer meines Projekts hat Mariano seine eigenen Erfahrungen mit Diskriminierung gemacht, und ich verstehe, welche Auswirkungen sie auf das Leben eines jeden hat und wie schwierig es ist, darüber zu sprechen, aber es ist notwendig. Schweigen kann nichts ändern.

Alle Porträts und Videogeschichten werden bei der Projektpräsentation zu sehen sein, und ich werde auf den sozialen Medien Material hinter den Kulissen veröffentlichen.

Das ist Natascha Kauder . Sie hat zugesagt, an meinem neuen Projekt teilzunehmen, bei dem es um Diskriminierung und die Konsequenzen, die sie für die Gesellschaft hat, geht.

Natascha ist eine starke Verfechterin der Gleichberechtigung von Frauen im Spitzen und Breitensport und versucht ihr Bestes, um die Situation zu ändern, damit sich Profisportlerinnen nicht diskriminiert und eingeschränkt fühlen.

Natascha ist auch Mitglied der BÜNDNIS 90/DIE GRÜNEN , was ein gutes Zeichen für mich ist.

Another wonderful participant in my new project, which is about discrimination in society and which makes people think about the consequences of this disease.

This is Beatriz (.preta) and she is from Brazil. I think she's a cool girl. She works as a nurse. But that's not all. She's a Dj heart and soul. Her music sounds really cool. She participates in music projects, plays at different stages and when asked why she moved to Germany, Beatriz answers, because Germany is the capital of techno music. She is also very fun, open and easy to have a dialog with.

All video stories and portraits will be available at the presentation. In social networks I will publish materials that have been left behind the scenes.

Ich möchte Ihnen einen weiteren Teilnehmer an meinem Projekt "Nie wieder, oder?" vorstellen, das sich mit der Diskriminierung in Deutschland beschäftigt.

Alon Meyer ist Präsident des jüdischen Sportverbands Makkabi Deutschland sowie des Sportvereins TuS Makkabi Frankfurt.

Der Sportverein TuS Makkabi Frankfurt, gegründet im Jahr 1965, ist eine jüdische Sportgemeinschaft in Frankfurt am Main. Mit über 4.500 Mitgliedern gehört er zu den größten Sportvereinen der Stadt. Der Club betreibt 27 Sportabteilungen und legt besonderen Wert auf integrative und interreligiöse Projekte.

Meyer engagiert sich aktiv gegen Antisemitismus und Rassismus und nutzt den Sport als Mittel zur Förderung von Toleranz und gegenseitigem Verständnis in der Gesellschaft.

Es ist großartig, dass Menschen wie Alon eine aktive Position in der Gesellschaft einnehmen und keine Zeit und Energie scheuen, um sich gegen Diskriminierung, Rassismus und Antisemitismus einzusetzen. Das zeigt definitiv Wirkung.

Wir waren auch unlängst im Jüdischen Museum von Frankfurt, und dort gab es natürlich eine ganze Sektion, die TuS Makkabi Frankfurt e.V. gewidmet war und in der Alon persönlich für sein Engagement in der Gemeinde geehrt wurde.

I would like to introduce you to another participant in my project "Never Again, is it?", which is about Discrimination in Germany.

Alon Meyer is president of the Jewish sports association Makkabi Germany and the sports club TuS Makkabi Frankfurt.

The TuS Makkabi Frankfurt e.V. , founded in 1965, is a Jewish sports organization in Frankfurt am Main. With more than 4,500 members, it is one of the largest sports clubs in the city. The club has 27 sports departments and focuses on integrative and interfaith projects.

Meyer actively combats anti-Semitism and racism and uses sport as a means of promoting tolerance and understanding in society.

It is great that people like Alon take an active position in society and do not spare any time or energy to oppose discrimination, racism and anti-Semitism. It certainly brings results.

We were recently at the Jüdisches Museum Frankfurt / Museum Judengasse , and of course there was an entire section dedicated to Makkabi Frankfurt e.V, where Alon was personally honored for his dedication to the community.
