I really fell in love with the landscapes of the Faroe Islands. Everything feels so wild and dramatic, with steep cliffs and sea stacks rising from the ocean. Especially on dark and rainy days, there’s something mysteriously beautiful about the atmosphere.

Looking down between these towering rock pillars gives you a sense of just how vast and spectacular this landscape really is. I’ve seen countless landscapes, each beautiful and spectacular in its own way, but China’s Zhangjiajie Mountains are truly in a league of their own. Rising from a dense, wild jungle, these massive pillars almost look like a city of skyscrapers carved into the mountains.

I’ve never seen so many arches in my life! I don’t know why, but normally arches are pretty rare and don’t seem to occur very often. However, in Utah, the rules might be a bit different, because no matter where you look in some areas, you can sometimes see a handful of arches. And they’re all so beautiful.

It was perfect for us on that trip, because we could just walk around and enjoy all the beautiful frames through them. And especially here, it’s not only the arch itself that makes them so special, but also the vast landscapes you can see through them, which are equally impressive.

(Ad) Back in June this year, during midsummer, I had the chance to visit Levi in Finland, and honestly, the nights there were among the most beautiful I’ve ever experienced. Golden light lasting throughout the entire night over the beautiful landscapes of Finnish Lapland, without the sun ever fully setting. Most people know Finnish Lapland mainly for its winter scenery, but to me, summer is even more beautiful.

I packed the Tamron 35-100mm F/2.8, 28-75mm F/2.8, and wide-angle 16-30mm F/2.8 to capture the entire trip on video, all handheld. Since we did a lot of hiking and outdoor activities, I prefer to keep my setup lightweight and practical. That’s why I brought the Deuter Jaypack Pro Photo backpack, which combines the features of a professional camera backpack with those of a hiking backpack.

Thanks so much to , , , , and for making this trip possible!

(Ad) Midnight sun in the stunning Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park in Levi, Finland was such an incredible experience! When we arrived, the sky was quite cloudy, but after coming back from a hike and getting ready to head home after midnight, the clouds finally cleared.

We ended up driving and running around because there was just so much to see and explore, from beautiful roads to flowering fields with wooden cabins and lakes dotted with chains of tiny islands, all glowing in the soft, golden midnight light.

Equipped Deuter's Jay pack photo backpack, Tamron’s 16 to 30mm F2.8 and the new 35 to 150mm F2.8, it was a lot of fun trying to capture this unique atmosphere.

It felt so surreal, especially knowing that most people were asleep while we were experiencing all of this. Thanks so much to Levi, VisitFinland, Deuter Sport GmbH, Rundreisen • Abenteuer • Fernweh, TAMRON Deutschland and TAMRON Europe for making this trip possible!

(Ad) Up in Levi in Finnish Lapland, the sun never sets during midsummer. While I’ve been to the north quite a few times, I’d never experienced the midnight sun before, so I was especially excited to join the Light & Motion project and visit Levi at the end of June.

It was unlike anything I’d ever experienced. Instead of setting, the sun moves low over the horizon, creating this beautiful golden light that normally only lasts a few minutes before sunset. The difference is that it stays like this for hours, making it feel like a six hour never ending golden sunset. From the top of Levi Fell, you get incredible views over the forests and lakes, all glowing in the sunlight. Another highlight was a midnight canoe tour along one of the winding rivers. But my absolute favorite was joining the Finnish midsummer tradition around a huge bonfire, lit every year on the longest day of the year.

For this trip I was equipped with great outdoor gear from Deuter Sport GmbH, including a camera backpack that combines the comfort and space of a hiking backpack with a design made for camera gear. I also brought Tamron’s 16-30mm F2.8 to capture the wide landscapes and canoe scenes, and the new 35-100mm F2.8 as my standard zoom.

A huge thank you to Levi, VisitFinland, TAMRON Europe for making this incredible trip possible!

Visiting Indonesia, one of the most memorable mornings was when I watched the sunrise over Mount Bromo for the first time.

We started our journey in the middle of the night, with no idea what the landscape around us would look like. As dawn slowly brought the first light, I was stunned by how vast and surreal the volcanic scenery was. And when the sun finally rose, it was simply picture perfect.

I was completely exhausted, but at the same time incredibly happy.

(Ad) On my solo trip through Latvia, I saw so many incredible places and landscapes in just one week. It was the perfect opportunity to create a short travel film that shows what you can experience on a trip there.

My favorite moments were definitely sunset at the beach, both at Veczemju Cliffs, where the dramatic sandstone cliffs are surrounded by peaceful pine forests, and in Pāvilosta, where powerful storm waves crashed against the shore, creating an incredibly dramatic atmosphere.

Canoeing along the Gauja River through the national park was another unforgettable experience. Hiking the wooden boardwalks across Ķemeri Bog and spotting wildlife in Pape Nature Reserve were equally among my favorite activities.

Not to mention the cozy accommodations, which gave me the chance to slow down and enjoy some quiet moments between all the adventures, especially the iconic black cabin.

(Ad) Travelling through Latvia was full of unforgettable moments, making it almost impossible to pick my favorites. Here are a few places I can wholeheartedly recommend!

Ķemeri Bog is one of the country’s most unique landscapes, with a scenic boardwalk winding through lakes and tiny islands. Sunrise and sunset are especially magical, and exploring it by canoe offers a completely different perspective.

Ložmetējkalns is a World War I memorial with an observation tower overlooking the surrounding forests. It’s well worth visiting for both the history and the views.

One of my most memorable sunsets happened at Pāvilosta Beach, where stormy skies, huge waves, and a burst of golden light created an incredibly dramatic scene. Bernāti Beach is another favorite, with its endless white sand and peaceful pine forests, while Pape Nature Park is the perfect place to spot wildlife, including wild horses.

Kuldīga is a beautiful UNESCO World Heritage town with a charming old center and Europe’s widest waterfall.

And of course, no trip to Latvia is complete without exploring Riga. The view from St. Peter’s Church at sunset is incredible, and I also highly recommend visiting the House of the Black Heads and the Riga Art Nouveau Centre Museum.
