A bit of a full circle moment.

About 14 years ago, I started taking photos with an iPod touch. Back then, Plansee was one of the places my dad and I would regularly drive to in the early morning to photograph sunrise.

Fast forward to today, and I found myself back at Plansee. This time with the new iPhone 18 Pro.
Pretty special to think about how much has changed between those two little cameras, and where photography has taken me in between.

These are only my first impressions, but there’s already quite a bit I like about the new camera system. The variable aperture is a really nice addition, Night mode processing seems to have taken another step forward and the 4x (100mm) is still easily my favourite focal length to shoot with.

For now, here are some of my first photos with the iPhone 18 Pro. Looking forward to play around with it even more in the coming weeks.

We came for the sunrise, but the mountains had other plans. Rain, thunder and lightning rolled through the valley before dawn, turning our planned hike into an easy decision: stay put and wait for the storm to pass.

So instead, we watched the storm unfold over Adelboden - beautiful and frightening at the same time. ⚡️
