www.500px.com/kyprisathina Key motifs of her photographic work are prejudices, identity under the shadow of role expectations, new perspectives on well-known things and the precious but fugitive moment. She usually aims to picture ideas (not individuals or physical things) and through this to create a piece of art with a message. Each of her photos belongs to a series, because there is always a meaning or story behind it and probably also because of her big passion for fashion magazines since she was a teen. Fashion still plays an important role in her work, but always remains a stylistic device only and is never supposed to be the subject of the photo. Her inspiration she finds through various sources, such as personal experiences, travelling, paintings, mythology, literature and movies. Besides her fine art series she loves to take individual animal portraits, especially at the zoo where she is working when not taking photos.
