Most of the weddings I went to in Germany had intimate receptions at a Brauhaus or Bier Garten (brewery or beer garden). Guests all sit out on the terrace together and eat and drink late into the night. I love that every reception that I have been to is different but they all focus on celebrating the couple and the people that came to be there for them.

I can’t believe it has been 6 years since I did my “Women in the Morning” series. I loved getting up early (sometimes way too early) with these amazing women so I could document their morning. Everyone had such different routines! I want to do a “Women in the Evening” series but have never found the right time to start.

Every year we go to a pumpkin patch to pick out our own pumpkins… and then we also buy more from the store. My kids are even growing mini pumpkins in the backyard right now. That might be the only decorations we put out every Halloween but I’m ok with that 🎃

I’m always surprised by how many people don’t know that El Paso has a rose garden. There are over 1400 rosebushes with 430 varieties in the El Paso Municipal Rose Garden. It closes November 30th so go enjoy it while it is open! (These pictures are older but I did a session recently and the flowers were still in bloom)

20 years ago I worked at an “Old Time” photo studio in Tombstone, AZ next to the OK Corral and I had to wear a cowboy hat and boots to work everyday. If I looked this cute in boots and a hat I would have never stopped wearing them!
