One of the most beautiful hikes I’ve been on
Welp 40+ countries and my favorite hike was always right in my own backyard. Go figure. Welcome to Lake Valhalla near Leavenworth. Nice little 6.3 out and back with a good 1750ft elevation gain will have you using those quads. Added bonus was the wild blueberries and huckleberries during the fall one of the last gems on earth right here. Be kind to it when you go✌️

I don’t have a whole lot of experience with llamas but I had an opportunity to hang with a herd of them whilst in Ecuador waiting for a ride to the mountains. Most of the llamas were cool. Ya know chillin’ appreciating some attention but this guy was not having it. Perhaps the Alpha or just the old wise one, he definitely lived life and decided that humans were just annoying. I get it, we kind of are. Especially when we see llamas.

Pack out what you pack in
Just a friendly reminder to keep our nature raw and beautiful for everyone. Lately, I’m seeing a lot of trash left behind on blm land. The camp spots are free so the least we can do is clean up the mess, right? :) Obviously, this also applies to hikers or anybody adventuring into the wilderness. 🌱Spread the word and don’t be afraid to call out litter bugs even if they are taking cool van life instagrams.
