Cala Comte is one of those Ibiza spots that looks almost unreal on camera, but somehow feels even better in person 🌊✨

Located on the west coast of the island, close to Sant Josep, Cala Comte is famous for its crystal-clear turquoise water, rocky coves, golden sand and views over the small islets just offshore. On a clear day, the colours shift from deep blue to almost transparent Caribbean tones, which is why this beach is often ranked among the most beautiful in Ibiza.

It is also one of the island’s best sunset spots. As the sun drops behind the sea, the rocks turn golden, boats start floating in silhouette and the whole beach gets that classic Ibiza magic. No filters needed.

A small curiosity: Cala Comte is not just one beach. It is made up of different sandy and rocky sections, with little coves, natural platforms and viewpoints spread along the coast. That is why every angle looks different, from drone shots over the turquoise bay to cave frames, boats and sunset silhouettes.

It gets very busy in summer, especially late afternoon, so arriving early is always a good idea. Bring water, sun protection and beach shoes if you want to explore the rocky areas.

Cala Comte is not just a beach. It is one of the places that explains why people fall in love with Ibiza.

A man has been found dead inside a fishing boat moored at Ibiza port, in the area of the Cofradía de Pescadores.

According to local reports, the body was discovered on Tuesday around midday, and firefighters had to intervene because of the difficulty of removing the man from inside the vessel.

Police are now investigating what happened. Early information says there were no visible signs of violent death, but the final cause will depend on the autopsy.

The man’s identity and age have not yet been released, and it has not been confirmed whether he was a fisherman or why he was on the boat.

A sad and shocking incident in one of the busiest areas of Ibiza port. 🖤

A viral video has reopened an uncomfortable debate in Ibiza: the recruitment of young women for private villa and yacht parties.

According to Noudiari, the controversy started after a content creator asked for “girls” and “image girls” to spend a week in Ibiza with a group of men, with expenses such as the villa, restaurants and clubs reportedly covered. The video quickly drew criticism online, with many questioning where the line is between party promotion, sexist advertising and possible hidden prostitution.

The video was shared and criticised by journalist Laura Fa on her social media, where readers can watch the clip that sparked the debate. 📲

The article also points out that this is not a new issue on the island. For years, Ibiza has seen companies and private groups offering “party girls” for luxury events, yachts and villas, a practice that critics say turns women into decoration for wealthy male parties.

The case has now put the spotlight back on a wider problem: how Ibiza’s luxury nightlife economy can sometimes blur the limits between entertainment, image, exploitation and consent.

What do you think? Is this just party culture, or has Ibiza normalised something much darker? 👀

At 47, Diplo believes the best DJs are often the ones who have lived through more scenes, more crowds and more eras behind the decks.

In a recent interview with Daniel Wall, he spoke about why maturity matters in DJ culture, and how experience can shape the way an artist reads a room, builds a set and understands the dancefloor.

It is an interesting take in a scene that often celebrates what is new, fast and viral.

Do you agree with him? Are the best DJs the ones with more years behind them?

Paco Osuna is back at Hï Ibiza with NOW HERE, and this season looks like his biggest one yet.

The Spanish DJ will take over the Club Room every Tuesday from 2 June to 6 October, bringing 19 consecutive nights of his signature sound, built around groove, precision and that proper dancefloor connection.

This will be the fifth season of NOW HERE at Hï Ibiza, but also its longest so far. The concept has grown from an Ibiza residency into an international name, with shows across Europe, North America and South America.

Osuna’s idea is simple: less noise, less fake hype, more presence. A room full of people, music doing the talking, and a night built around the moment.

The season will also include a curated mix of respected electronic names and rising artists, while EASTENDERZ takes over the Theatre on the same night, making Tuesdays at Hï Ibiza one of the strongest weekly clubbing options of the summer.

Hotel spending is giving Ibiza and Formentera’s early season a major lift.

New IBESTAT figures show total tourist expenditure across the Pitiusas reached €208.14 million in April, up 8.55% compared with the same month last year.

The strongest push came from hotels and similar accommodation, where spending rose 21.98%, from around €58 million in April 2025 to €70.76 million this year.

Visitors staying in hotels also spent more per person, with average hotel tourist spending reaching €937.62, while daily spending climbed to €270.39.

The wider picture is also strong: average visitor spending reached €881.87 per person, and daily tourist spending hit €176.44, the highest April figure in the available series.

It is another sign that Ibiza and Formentera are starting the season with more value per visitor, even if total April spending has still not beaten the 2023 record.

A 42-year-old British man has been arrested in Ibiza after Guardia Civil officers found 42 nitrous oxide bottles inside his car during a routine check in Sant Josep.

Police also seized balloons and nozzles, which are commonly linked to the recreational use of laughing gas. According to the report, the man could not prove any professional or commercial reason for carrying such a large quantity, which raised suspicions of possible illegal distribution.

The arrest adds to growing concern over the spread of nitrous oxide across Ibiza, where authorities have already been stepping up action against its sale and use.

A week after a frightening crash in Ibiza, Dutch influencer Jada Borsato has spoken publicly about the accident that sent her and her mother, Leontine Ruiters, to hospital.

According to La Voz de Ibiza, the crash happened on Sunday, 24 May, when a drunk driver allegedly drove the wrong way around a roundabout and hit the taxi carrying mother and daughter head-on.

Both women were injured and taken to hospital. Leontine reportedly suffered bruised ribs, among other injuries, while Jada later shared an update from hospital saying she was doing well considering the circumstances.

The family said the outcome could have been much worse, and thanked emergency services, medical staff and the people in Ibiza who helped them after the accident.

Jada, 23, is the daughter of Dutch singer Marco Borsato and has built her own following as a content creator.

A scary reminder of how quickly a night out or a simple ride can turn into something serious.
