Cleya Asulon - editorial destination wedding photographer High end destination wedding photographer in Europe based in France. FOR THE NOSTALGICS, THE ART LOVERS & THE POETRY SEEKERS.

Cléa, from her real name, is a creativity driven soul. From wanting to be a landscaper to a dancer, it is with a camera that she pursues her creative crave. Always curious, it is after her art history and archeometry diplomas that she dives into entrepreneurship with photography. It is with an undeniable taste for shapes, textures, lights and details that she drives her daily inspirations from art

s : architecture, gardens, fashion, music, cinema,…

Her photography is deeply anchored in the belief that there is beauty in every moment, everything and everywhere. Hence she developed a style oscillating from documentary photojournalism to abstraction and ethereal timeless poetic imagery. A style that she has never stopped experiencing through her attention to details from the start, and focus on the “small things”. This plurality allows her to navigate with ease between authentic moments on wedding days as much as she can create powerful composition with curated guidance.

There is a kind of table that makes you slow down, & this one, set in the gardens of Château de la Messardière, the Airelles property perched above Saint-Tropez, was exactly that. Long tables running under beaded chandeliers catching the afternoon light, the green & white floral linens echoing the olive trees & umbrella pines right behind them. Ivory roses, sweet peas, that wild cow parsley spilling everywhere, slim candles on brass, smoked glass next to antique crystal, the gold-rimmed plates, & beyond all of it, the bay of Saint-Tropez opening up like it was part of the décor too 🌿

What I loved here is how nothing fought with the landscape. It felt like the whole table grew out of this place, the Mediterranean light doing the rest. This is what modern French elegance means to me, quietly done, never stiff, every detail in conversation with the one beside it.

A celebration table in the South of France will always be one of my favourite things to photograph, & this one, I'm still thinking about it 🩷

No exaggeration here: is one of the most ethereal places I’ve had the chance to lay my eyes on.
Last year, I was attending a Morocco wedding workshop, that i specifically chose because of this venue. And I was not disapointed. The colors, the light, the care, the wind, the textures, everything felt intentional and out of this world. I stepped into an other reality. And one of the things I like the most in my job is this sense of detail, of attention, where the experience is truly felt, where you can feel that you are at the right place. Literally. And this gem delivered. Again, I am extremely grateful I was able to walk through its walls, and I can't wait to go back once.

This celebration was all about colour as a real intention
& a couple who flew from Hong Kong to the Loire Valley to root that vision in an 18th-century neoclassical château. A saturated yellow on the cocktail tables, an orange peony cake carried out into a cheering crowd, ribbons & florals that refused anything quiet, nothing pale, nothing muted, everything had something to say 🌿

What I loved photographing the most was how the boldness never felt loud, it felt deeply considered. This is what happens when a couple treats their wedding as a real art direction, & trusts the people around them to push it all the way. Château du Grand-Lucé did what only French patrimoine can do : hold all of it without flinching.

Flying across the world to root a wedding here already says a lot about who they are, & I feel lucky I got to read that world with them ✨️

Still not over last night at so here's a soft little chapter from our editorial there : the getting ready era 🥂

We always treat those first hours as the "documentaty" part of the day. The candid, the unposed, the in-between. And ok, I love that too. But hear me out : getting ready deserves to be romanticised, staged, shot like a main character moment, not only a step toward the "real" thing.

A bride floating through golden light, disappearing behind her veil, drapes accross the canopy bed, a little piano moment because why not. This neo-renaissance venue doing the absolute most in the background and I mean that as the highest compliment.

Not a build-up to the day. A wholz world of its own.

I can't wait to share even more of this story ✨️

Beyond proud to present to you this new blog feature on for this gorgeous french riviera wedding 🩷 a true honour to see this celebration land among one of the most curated voices in the luxury wedding world.

It was a pure moment of grace where I was able to create with J & B among the old stones of the Eze Village and where the Mediterranean sea blends into the blue sky. I am once more grateful for their trust, and grateful for this adventure I get to call my job 📸

I talk a lot about brides, and rightfully so, but Alex and his boys deserve their moment too. Truly. There is something I always love about the groom side of a wedding day, the kind of quiet camaraderie, the inside jokes you can't quite hear from where you stand, the way they get ready faster than anyone & then end up waiting around in their suits, hands in pockets, pretending to be relaxed.

Alex's groomsmen had that exact energy. Calm, sharp, genuinely happy to be there for him. No performance, just the boys on a wooden Alpine deck, the Megève light hitting their suits exactly right.

Honestly, this is one of my favorite scenes from the whole weekend (I acgually have a lot of favorites haha). I love a great bridal party shot as much as anyone, but there is something about a groom standing with his people that just lands differently. You can tell a lot about someone from who is next to them on a day like this. And Alex, he chose well 🤍

06/05/2026

April light, layered silks, and a château alive with detail.

Some say less is more. We disagree.
APRIL is a love letter to maximalism, to the joy of more. More florals, more textures, more fabric, more colour, more story. It was built on a single question: what if we created a shoot that refused to choose?

Château Mirambeau called for it. Its tapestries, its carved walls, its endless rooms each holding a different mood, this house was never going to be honoured by restraint. It needed to be answered.

So we wove a celebration that unfolded like a perfume, note after note, layer after layer.

It opened with the smallest things, the ones you almost miss. From there, a quiet morning, alone in a golden room. The gardens followed, and an arch that refused to whisper. Inside again, the most romantic hour of the day, where florals stopped being decoration and became architecture. And to close, the moment before the party, a new dress, a held breath, the night ahead.

Five chapters. Five atmospheres. None quieter than the next.

Maximalism, to us, is not noise. It is generosity. The deliberate choice to fill a frame with story, texture, and feeling, to trust that beauty can be loud and elegant at the same time.

APRIL is for the couples who want it all, and refuse to apologise for it 🤍

Two years before their wedding, I shot a day at Les Jardins de Campagne. Gladys and Clément saw those images, and that's how they found me. I still think about that. You photograph a create some images, you move on, and somewhere a couple is quietly deciding something because of a frame you made two summers ago.

The house itself is a Belle Époque villa designed by an architect of the Lake Como villas, still mostly off the wedding radar back then. That's the kind of place that draws a specific type of couple.

Her dress, found second-hand after months of dead-end fittings. His suit, built around loafers he'd bought on impulse a year earlier. Rings made by two jeweller friends.

Then the rain came at the cheese course. Napkins on heads, champagne fountain moved under the pool-house and guests cheering anyway, because it is all about being surrounded by the right people after all !

Here's what I noticed first. Not the mountains, not the venue. The matchboxes. Mary-Grace made them herself. She also chose stationery that told you everything about who they are before you even met them. That's what I look at when I arrive at a wedding, the small things that reveal who people really are.

The flowers, deep violets, wild greens, calla lilies bending toward the light. Those colours carried through everything, from the monogrammed vow books to the pistachio green accents on the tables. Nothing was random, nothing was forced.

I connected with these two so quickly. You just move with them, navigating between the quiet portraits on the chalet balcony and the laughs you had no business catching. That in-between is where I live best.

Mary-Grace changed looks twice. Each time she walked back in, the energy shifted. Same ease, completely different woman. And Megève gave us a cleared sky over Mont Blanc. Not a cloud. Everyone was warm, relaxed, genuinely kind, the kind of weekend where you forget you're working.

Now I'm curious, swipe through and tell me, what's the first detail YOUR eye catches? I always love seeing what other people notice first 🪻
