This Friday I play a double show.

Do Tigers Cry? will play two brand new songs which will be on our next album for sure, along with most songs off our last EP, I feel we are the best we have ever been and I am super happy with the new line up of me being off the guitar. Something has clicked, and i like it

Je suis l'automne my new solo project will be after the Tigers where i will be playing potential new Tigers songs which have never been recorded before, and some of them have never been played live before either. I have done a few casual shows under this name and part of the charm is the casual nature to the performance itself. I have gone back to the very delicate and brutally honest style of writing.

The evening will start with an American girl I met at The British Book Club called Posey Lulu who can really capture an audience, folk and harmonica. Also opening up is a Northern Irish girl I met a long time ago when she just started out, she has a beautiful voice and really good lyrics so I am excited to see her perform for the first time in over 4 years, Victoria Manning

This show is the big one, and I mean enormous.

When I was blessed by a handful of musicians wanting to play my songs again after an early retirement from music, it opened up a different part of me towards music.
An earlier version of me always had that “I wanna make it” goal festering inside me and as I saw how difficult the industry is and how shallow and fake it all seemed I have always been content of never making it.
The older me, I just want to write songs and enjoy the journey and if any opportunities pop up to do a cool show then I’m honoured to be part of it with musicians who love the songs as much as I have loved writing them
Do Tigers Cry? Is the result of some interesting and life changing decisions I have made, and not every moment was enjoyable which is what makes this band even more comforting. The full story, only a handful of people know, but it’s one of the most memorable moments of my life for both good and bad reasons.
Our first show was February 2024 at La Coopérative de Mai , an acoustic trio show of the songs i had written and it was an honour to play at this venue but I expected nothing from it. Our crowd was massive, so many people I didn’t know came to see us including musicians who wanted to join the band after the show.
We have played some memorable and creative shows, we have pushed ourselves as a band to some limits and we have all contributed towards the new material that showcases everyone’s talents.
“So now, here we are, I can’t believe we made it this far”… We are back again at the venue where it all started, as an 8 piece band with 2 EPs under our belt and I am super proud of how my old songs have come back to life and the new songs have been amazing to write. And not just for me, to write every musician into the songs to showcase all their talents and for these musicians to deliver incredible performances both on stage and in the studio
Maybe this next concert completes a circle, maybe it’s the continuation of a spiral outwards to better things in 2026, but whatever it is, this show will be our best performance we will ever do to date.
November 29, La Coopé, FREE ENTRY, and we share the venue with 5 other great bands from the city which starts at 20h. There is no reason not to come….so please do

On Wednesday (17/09/25) Do Tigers Cry? will be revealing, not one, but TWO new guitarists to replace our beloved Tim who has moved back to the USA. I too am coming off the guitar and will be just singing. In all of my projects i have always played guitar, but it feels like a bucket list moment where i get to be more of a front man without restrictions...i have no idea what i'm going to do yet, but i am excited
