This show is the big one, and I mean enormous.
When I was blessed by a handful of musicians wanting to play my songs again after an early retirement from music, it opened up a different part of me towards music.
An earlier version of me always had that “I wanna make it” goal festering inside me and as I saw how difficult the industry is and how shallow and fake it all seemed I have always been content of never making it.
The older me, I just want to write songs and enjoy the journey and if any opportunities pop up to do a cool show then I’m honoured to be part of it with musicians who love the songs as much as I have loved writing them
Do Tigers Cry? Is the result of some interesting and life changing decisions I have made, and not every moment was enjoyable which is what makes this band even more comforting. The full story, only a handful of people know, but it’s one of the most memorable moments of my life for both good and bad reasons.
Our first show was February 2024 at La Coopérative de Mai , an acoustic trio show of the songs i had written and it was an honour to play at this venue but I expected nothing from it. Our crowd was massive, so many people I didn’t know came to see us including musicians who wanted to join the band after the show.
We have played some memorable and creative shows, we have pushed ourselves as a band to some limits and we have all contributed towards the new material that showcases everyone’s talents.
“So now, here we are, I can’t believe we made it this far”… We are back again at the venue where it all started, as an 8 piece band with 2 EPs under our belt and I am super proud of how my old songs have come back to life and the new songs have been amazing to write. And not just for me, to write every musician into the songs to showcase all their talents and for these musicians to deliver incredible performances both on stage and in the studio
Maybe this next concert completes a circle, maybe it’s the continuation of a spiral outwards to better things in 2026, but whatever it is, this show will be our best performance we will ever do to date.
November 29, La Coopé, FREE ENTRY, and we share the venue with 5 other great bands from the city which starts at 20h. There is no reason not to come….so please do
