Loss of inspiration

There are periods in which a photographer may lose his interest in photography.
That’s a period I’m going through for about 2 months.

I haven’t been really happy with any of my photographs lately.

Many factors can explain it : work situation (no progress), haven’t been able to travel much. There’s also the fact that I’m looking for the same things when out with a camera, doing things too automatically. This makes the process very repetitive and kills my inspiration to take photos.

There are different thoughts on how to solve it : some will recommend to completely drop the camera for as long as you feel like not photographing, some advise to look back into your photography and identify what you liked most about it, some others advise to experiment.

At the moment I feel like dropping the camera for 1, 2 maybe 3 weeks and try to stop seeing things with my photographer eyes.
I might start to see things differently once I pick up my camera again.

Next step is definitely to experiment and not pressuring myself to produce good photos all the time.

Another important aspect is social media: I will post a lot less online (I will publish a post about social media soon).

I’ll see where all of that brings me, I might keep you posted of the progress.
