Straight from a movie scene 💛 Which one is your favorite? 😍

📌 Villa Del Balbianello, Lenno, Lake Como
Tips to get the most out of your visit:
✨ Book your tickets well in advance as popular slots can sell out.
🌿 If you’re mainly interested in the gardens, book a garden entrance rather than the guided villa tour.
⏰ I visited at opening time both in April and July, and it was already busy, so I’m actually curious whether a late-afternoon visit might be the better option.
⛴️ Coming from Bellagio? Check the ferry timetable carefully, as Lenno isn’t served as frequently as the main ferry route.
🥾 And after your visit, walk back towards Lenno: the path offers some beautiful views of the villa from above.

Just 45min & 2.55€ from Lisbon by train, Sintra feels like stepping into a fairytale: colourful palaces, lush forests, hidden gardens and centuries of history around every corner.

We spent a day exploring these 3 palaces:

Did you know the most beautiful hospital in the world is in Barcelona? 🤩🇪🇸 Swipe to the end for the best view of the Sagrada Família 🤫

📌 Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau

It was designed by Catalan architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner and built in the early 20th century as a hospital, with gardens, natural light, fresh air and beautifully designed spaces intended to contribute to patients’ wellbeing. 🌿☀️

It remained a functioning hospital until 2009 and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

🎟️ Self-guided visit: €18 before 2 PM / €17 after 2 PM
🕐 Open daily 9:30 AM–6:30 PM (April–October)
🚇 Just 2 minutes from Sagrada Família

- Villa Cipressi, a romantic terraced garden in Varenna, filled with exotic plants and winding paths leading down towards the lake 🌿 [1, 6, 11 & 16]
- Villa del Balbianello, the most iconic of them all, famous for its spectacular lakeside setting and its appearances in films like James Bond and Star Wars 🎬 [2, 7, 12 & 17]
- Villa Monastero, my favorite, with a stunning botanical garden stretching almost 2 km along the lake 💛 [3, 8, 13 & 18]
- Villa Carlotta, a beautiful mix of art, history and gardens, with an impressive collection of paintings 🌺 [4, 9, 14 & 19]
- Villa Melzi d’Eril, a peaceful lakeside garden in Bellagio, perfect for a beautiful stroll surrounded by flowers, sculptures and incredible views 🏔️ [5, 10, 15 & 20]

Here are some of my favorite things to do in Roma:
⛲️ Visit the Trevi Fountain at blue hour (before sunrise) for a chance to see it without too many people
🏟️ See the Colosseo at sunrise
🏛️ Visit the Pantheon & Piazza Navona early in the morning, before the crowds arrive
⛪️ Step inside some of the stunning churches you’ll come across, such as Santa Maria in Trastevere
🏙️ Head to Castel Sant’Angelo for a stunning 360° view over Roma
🌇 Watch the sunset from Pincio
🤤 Eat your weight in cacio e pepe, supplì & tiramisù

Swan Lake magic at the iconic Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni 🤍🦢 Which one is your favorite? 😍

I’m so giddy to finally share a little of what we created during our stay at this iconic hotel. 🥹

Creating these images here truly felt like stepping into a fairytale. Staying at my longtime dream hotel on Lake Como was already something I never imagined would happen. Getting to create these memories here with my favorite person made it even more special 🥹
