Polaroid of Jim Greco
A major figure in modern skateboarding, Jim Greco rose to prominence in the late 1990s through his standout performances for Baker Skateboards, before becoming one of the defining faces of the brand alongside Andrew Reynolds.
In 2007, he co-founded Bakerboys Distribution with Reynolds and Erik Ellington, helping to build one of the most influential groups in independent skateboarding. The following year, he and Ellington launched Deathwish Skateboards, a brand that would become iconic for its raw aesthetic and unapologetically rebellious spirit.
Greco was also a member of the legendary P**s Drunx crew, alongside Andrew Reynolds, Erik Ellington, Dustin Dollin, and Ali Boulala. The group left a lasting mark on skate culture in the 2000s through its uncompromising attitude, appetite for excess, and a series of now-classic videos, including Baker Bootleg, Baker 2G, and Baker 3.
Far beyond his achievements on a skateboard, Jim Greco embodies a certain vision of skateboarding: free, radical, and deeply rooted in the streets. His influence extends beyond the discipline itself, establishing him as a true counterculture icon.
