In the early hours of Tuesday, 18 March 2025, about 20 Israeli police officers raided a crowded café in eastern Qalqilyah. Arriving in vehicles with Palestinian license plates, they opened fire, using live rounds, and sending café goers fleeing. Three men were injured, including 25-year-old Khaled Quran, who was shot in the abdomen while trying to escape, and later died of his wounds. The Israeli forces then detained 17 Palestinians, handcuffed them and held them, lying face down on the ground, for about an hour.

Since the beginning of 2025 until May 30, 145 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank.

The raid and indiscriminate shooting in the heart of a civilian area attest to disregard for Palestinians’ lives. This policy is part of the system of control, oppression and killing of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

ندعوكم لزيارة معرض "بأمّ عيني"، الذي يضمّ مجموعة مختارة من الصور الفوتوغرافيّة للمصوّرة الفرنسيّة جوس دراي، والتي تعرّف نفسها بأنها "مصوّرة مقاومة". يوثّق المعرض اللحظات العاديّة واليوميّة والملحميّة في حياة الفلسطينيين، وصمودهم، وتلاحمهم، ومقاومتهم ضدّ الاحتلال، بدءًا من الانتفاضة الأولى وفترة أوسلو وصولًا إلى الانتفاضة الثانية، بالإضافة إلى حياة اللاجئين في مخيمات اللجوء في لبنان.

المعرض مفتوح أمام الجمهور بدءًا من 11 آذار الجاري في المتحف الفلسطيني- بيرزيت، ونظرًا للظروف الراهنة، وتقطّع الطرق بسبب الإغلاقات والاجتياحات اليوميّة للمدن والقرى والمخيّمات، لن ننظّم المتحف افتتاحًا رسميًّا، وسيكون المعرض مفتوحًا لاستقبال الزوّار القادرين على الحضور في أيّ وقت.

We invite you to visit "My Own Eyes", a photography exhibition featuring a selection of works by the French photographer Joss Dray, who describes herself as the “Resistance Photographer”. The exhibition documents ordinary, daily, and epic moments in the lives of Palestinians—their resilience, unity, and resistance against occupation. It spans from the First Intifada and the Oslo period to the Second Intifada, while also shedding light on the lives of Palestinian refugees in camps across Lebanon.

The exhibition opens to the public on March 11 at the Palestinian Museum in Birzeit. Given the current circumstances—daily closures, incursions, and military sieges disrupting movement across cities, villages, and refugee camps—the museum will not hold an official opening. Instead, visitors are welcome to experience the exhibition at their own time, whenever possible.
